Visited this restaurant during a tourism trade program, this is a great venue for a small group that wants to really get a taste of Catalan food and vibe. Santa Tapa's location is a bonus. Situated near the iconic Iglesia de Sant Bartolome, you can enjoy your tapas with a view of this historic church. The ambiance is both charming and romantic and the decor is full of photography art. While Santa Tapa excels in flavor and ambiance, the service can be a tad slow during peak hours. If you're visiting on a bustling weekend evening, patience is key. But trust me, the flavors are...
Read moreI find it necessary to share my experience from this past Saturday, January 13, 2024, around 1:30 PM at your establishment. Unfortunately, my visit was marked by an incident that I feel compelled to bring to your attention.
After a kind couple vacated their table, we were invited to take their place. However, our experience took an unexpected turn when, suddenly, two waiters emerged from inside the premises. One of them, quite conspicuously, exclaimed "What??" aloud. Meanwhile, the other, who seemed to be the manager, adopted an unpleasant tone and, raising his voice, insisted that if we were occupying the table, it must be to order a starter, a main course, and a dessert; otherwise, he simply turned away and left.
While I admit that we sat down before the table was completely clean, as we were engaged in conversation and taking care of our baby, I believe this situation does not in any way justify such rude and degrading treatment. The staff's reaction created obvious discomfort, and the bewildered looks from other customers on the terrace indicated that we were not the only ones taken aback by the situation.
This was our first attempt to enjoy a meal at your establishment, but unfortunately, we were unable to do so due to the way we were treated, ultimately being asked to leave. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Santa Tapa to potential customers. Furthermore, I strongly suggest that the staff, especially the involved waiters, consider participating in a training and specialization course in customer service. I firmly believe that this would significantly improve the quality of service your establishment provides.

Read moreThis place should not be open to the public. From the low quality food to the dirt inside the place. We went there because of high rating for a few Spanish tapas. The tapas looked like Spanish tapas but with hints of Asian spices, so obviously not authentic Spanish food but nothing was written to warn you of this. Bravas with strange flavour sauce. Xatonada was awful. Lettuce gone. Bland cod and had an Anchovy that I spat out as it was gone off. The dirt inside the place was unbelievable. Going upstairs to the toilet full of rubbish on the ground. Stay away...
