Visited this restaurant during a tourism trade program, this is a great venue for a small group that wants to really get a taste of Catalan food and vibe. As a MICE planner, we highly recommend this place, better to go early and make reservations. Nestled in the heart of Stiges, Restaurant Santa Tapa is a hidden gem that tantalizes the taste buds with its exquisite tapas. Whether you're a local or a curious traveler, this cozy eatery promises a memorable dining experience. At first it maybe easy to miss among the many other great choices around. Prepare to be dazzled by the gourmet tapas at Santa Tapa. Each dish is a work of art, meticulously crafted to blend flavors and textures. From delicate seafood bites to savory meat morsels, the menu caters to discerning and varied palates and they were very zccomodating to strict vegetarian requests. Santa Tapa takes pride in its impeccable presentation. Every plate arrives like a canvas: a burst of colors, drizzles of sauces, and edible flowers. It's not just a meal; it's an aesthetic journey. It really sets your mind up. The locals flock to Santa Tapa for a reason. The restaurant has earned its reputation as a community hub. You'll find regulars sipping wine at the bar, sharing stories, and celebrating life. It's where friendships are forged over shared plates. Hungry? Fear not! Santa Tapa boasts an extensive selection of tapas. Vegetarians, seafood enthusiasts, and carnivores alike will discover their favorites. Wine lovers rejoice! The cellar at Santa Tapa is a wine wonderland. Spanish Riojas, French Bordeaux, and local Catalan gems await. The knowledgeable staff can recommend the perfect pairing for your meal. Santa Tapa's location is a bonus. Situated near the iconic Iglesia de Sant Bartolome, you can enjoy your tapas with a view of this historic church. The ambiance is both charming and romantic and the decor is full of photography art. While Santa Tapa excels in flavor and ambiance, the service can be a tad slow during peak hours. If you're visiting on a bustling weekend evening, patience is key. But trust me, the flavors are worth the wait.

This place should not be open to the public. From the low quality food to the dirt inside the place. We went there because of high rating for a few Spanish tapas. The tapas looked like Spanish tapas but with hints of Asian spices, so obviously not authentic Spanish food but nothing was written to warn you of this. Bravas with strange flavour sauce. Xatonada was awful. Lettuce gone. Bland cod and had an Anchovy that I spat out as it was gone off. The dirt inside the place was unbelievable. Going upstairs to the toilet full of rubbish on the ground. Stay away from this place.

The location and interior is quite nice and warm. The problem with this place is food. We had chicken goujons, squids and papas bavarias. Chicken was extremely overcooked and dry, squids were impossible to chew and papas bavarias just had too much topping on it... Drinks were great, Sangria was very nice, beer was cold and bubbly as supposed to. I would recommed to come to this place only for a quick drink. The money you pay for food and the quality you get was very poor. Service was quite fast. I am giving this place no more than 2 stars.

I find it necessary to share my experience from this past Saturday, January 13, 2024, around 1:30 PM at your establishment. Unfortunately, my visit was marked by an incident that I feel compelled to bring to your attention.

After a kind couple vacated their table, we were invited to take their place. However, our experience took an unexpected turn when, suddenly, two waiters emerged from inside the premises. One of them, quite conspicuously, exclaimed "What??" aloud. Meanwhile, the other, who seemed to be the manager, adopted an unpleasant tone and, raising his voice, insisted that if we were occupying the table, it must be to order a starter, a main course, and a dessert; otherwise, he simply turned away and left.

While I admit that we sat down before the table was completely clean, as we were engaged in conversation and taking care of our baby, I believe this situation does not in any way justify such rude and degrading treatment. The staff's reaction created obvious discomfort, and the bewildered looks from other customers on the terrace indicated that we were not the only ones taken aback by the situation.

This was our first attempt to enjoy a meal at your establishment, but unfortunately, we were unable to do so due to the way we were treated, ultimately being asked to leave. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Santa Tapa to potential customers. Furthermore, I strongly suggest that the staff, especially the involved waiters, consider participating in a training and specialization course in customer service. I firmly believe that this would significantly improve the quality of service your establishment provides.
