Bar Playa — Restaurant in Tías

We had a really awful experience at this place today. I arrived for an early dinner with my child who has complex health needs. I’m aware that they they close early so arrived 415pm. We sat patiently at a table while the waiter served others all around us. We weren’t in a rush so didn’t complain when the waiter served two tables who had sat down after us. However, when the waiter finally came over at 433pm we gave our order and the man shouted at me that their kitchens were closed. When I explained that we’d been waiting for +15 minutes and he’d served two tables who’d arrived at us he proceeded to shout aggressively at me and my small child. The tables beside us hadn’t even received their meals - they’d only just been given their cutlery so it would appear this man took a dislike to us for his own discriminatory reasons. I am absolutely disgusted. I doubt he’d have spoken to a man in the same way. I shall never return to this restaurant and strongly urge the owners to speak to their Staff about how to treat customers. We visit Lanzarote multiple times a year. Arrived with my wife to have drinks outside. I went to the bar to order and waited for over 5 minutes in which time I was totally ignored by the only waiter in there. He was busy taking a big food order. When he had finished taking the order he carried on ignoring me at the bar and went on putting the food order into the till and then went into the kitchen to pass it on to the kitchen staff. Eventually the waiter came to my assistance and when I asked for two beers he said that he couldn't serve me as he needed my table number. I explained that I only wanted drinks but he still said that he couldn't serve me at the bar. I then left without drinks and could see that a number of people were waiting to pay there bill at the tables outside. I won't be coming back here for drinks or...

First low review I have made in Lanzarote. Arrived. No one acknowledged us. As we are tourists and was not sure if anything else was local, we needed to stop for food and drink so found a table ourselves and sat. Waited and waited. Eventually a waiter arrived at the table who didn't speak. Ordered drinks. They arrived and we again waited assuming that one of the waiters walking past us and looking at us, would stop and take a food order. Nobody did and we gave it up as a bad job.
