We stopped by for lunch this afternoon. It took at least 5min to get the menus, and then another 10 to get the owner's attention to take our order. We ordered 3 lunch specials, because those usually come out quick in Spain. After some 25min, I approached the owner asking if it's going to take much longer to get the food, since we were in a bit of a hurry. In response, he started yelling at me that this isn't McDonald's and that if we don't like it, we can leave. As I went back towards our table, his wife (aka the cook) started hurling obscenities in French from the kitchen window, and he came out saying, "you're free to leave, we will eat the soup ourselves!" What a delightful way to treat customers!
If you're still reading, the food was delicious and home-cooked, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit a restaurant where the owners verbally assault their customers. Especially in Spain, where the Spanish restauranteurs are friendly and offer service...
Read moreWonderful experience We went for dinner on our second night in Lanzarote and the food was beautiful. I had sea bream and my husband had steak. We were so impressed and were intrigued by the dish on the menu that had to be booked 24 hours in advance. A few days later we booked with 24 hours notice for the La Fondue Bourguignonne. WHAT A TREAT. A really unusual but delicious dining experience for someone who has never "fondued" before. It was not what we imagined at all. Tender, tasty beef, boiling oil in a Fondue to cook it to our own taste, an amazing array of really fresh dips which were clearly home made, the aoili being especially nice. The family took a huge amount of pride in presenting dinner to us and rightly so. If your looking for something different but delicious and very reasonably priced, this...
Read moreVery quiet little restaurant but what a hidden gem for French dining. The couple and their son who own and run the place prefer it to be quiet and do not accept groups of more than 4 without a reservation. Everything is prepared to order and they pride themselves in authentic food. I chose the Bouillabaisse which was amazing. Lots of seafood in a broth to die for. Large portion and no space for a desert. Being so quiet there wasn't much atmosphere but the food and friendly chat with the owner made up for that. Prices were also...
