There is so much to say about this place. To start off poorly, there were two cockroaches behind my chair in the corner of the room and even worse was that they were baby cockroaches meaning they had most likely been breeding in the restaurant. My friend had the pizza that was ‘home made’ but the base tasted stale. I had the steak that looked great but was either over salted or preserved in salt. If it had been preserved then it wasn’t necessarily ‘fresh’ as the waiter had said. The chips were also disappointing and didn’t taste like much except salty. My other friend had a shoulder of lamb and said that it was nice but if he had known that it was €21 he wouldn’t have gotten it. The service was poor as i was struggling to find a cocktail that was less alcoholic and a bit more fruity so i asked the waiter and he was no help. I didn’t want to hold anyone up so asked for advice but he just told me to read the menu again and decide. After we had finished we paid the bill of €72 and wanted to leave €80 for a tip but we only had a €100 so we put that down and waited for the change. We waited for a few minutes for them to bring our change back we felt they were hoping that we would leave. They also short changed us bringing back less than they should, only by a phew €’s but it was still a piss take. Overall the waiters were very tense and it felt like we were just a job to them and I understand that it is their job but it just felt off unlike other restaurants where the waiters are friendly and welcoming. It just felt like we were a burden to them and they were only putting on a smile for the money. Very underwhelmed by the whole experience and was extremely on edge the whole time, didn’t feel relaxing or enjoyable it just felt awkward between the customers and the waiters and didn’t like the tense atmosphere. It might be the right place for other people but i will not be going there again or recommending it to anyone...
Read moreWe had promised ourselves we would try this restaurant as it always seems busy. Lunchtime chosen and we had the place to ourselves. The guys on the street were very forth coming with passing pedestrians. To the point that if they had harassed us the way they did other people we would have walked on by. No surprise that they were empty. Inside the restaurant looks lovely. There is also seating outside but with just a view of the street. It looks like it’s one menu for lunch and dinner. No cheap snack alternatives. We ordered fish and chips and nachos for me. The waiter told me that the nachos wasn’t really very big for a lunch so I ordered a side of chips too. The nachos when it turn up was plenty big enough on its own, where as the fish and chips was ok for lunch but would expect more for an evening meal. Overall, a very expensive lunch that didn’t blow us away. 3.50€ for a beer might be the reason people were choosing elsewhere as well as over enthusiastic staff trying to drag people in without success. I doubt we...
Read moreAbsolutely lovely little place. If you are staying in the Calle Anzuelo area ( e.g. Cinco Plazas, Parque Tropical, etc) this is an excellent place to eat. Even if you aren't and you're looking for something, take a short trip up the hill from the Dos Mil and find it. The food was excellent. I had the mixed meat skewers- they were cooked to perfection. The two others in my party had Chicken Chimichanga and Burrito. Again they were spot on. The service was also top notch, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. In fact, we were told that the only thing not available was the Chimichanga. When my wife expressed her disappointment because that was what she wanted, the guys worked their magic and produced one. The prices are very much in line with the restaurants on the Strip. Very reasonable, definitely NOT more expensive. A little...
