We have dined here many many times. We had a breakfast when we arrived early, they will make up whatever you ever want, for example, i didnt want a full breakfast so i just got sausages, hash browns and toast, no problem at all. The husband got the full breakie and we were very happy with it all. We also had lunch a couple of times and i just love the Catalan Bread with a mojito. I am beyond picky with my mojitos, and these are the best on the island, absolutely gorgeous. Honey Rum on ice is always a go to also! We have had dinner also and the steak, fresh fish and chicken were all gorgeous. The prices are really good value and the staff are lovely. They promised a jug of mojito for me when we return in July! Definitely stop for a bite to eat a drink and chat its worth it. (Also the ladies toilet has changed so its just a single stall now not the three loos in a row with no privacy!)

Read moreWe chose this place at it was marked as one of the few spanish places around. Unfortunetely seems like most of the menu is based on typical turistic foods that have nothing to do with spanish cuisine like club sandwiches and hamburgers. Also what was super annoying was some game on tv played super loud in the middle of the day. It was not even spanish tv, but of course, british.
The waiter was bothering us too much and pushing his ideas on what we should order, even though it was not in the budget we were looking to spend.
In the end the food was not good at all but the bill was high, we left really disappointed and annoyed with the waiters behaviour. We don't remember when we had such a bad sandwich. Everything tasted bland and we had to add a lot of salt and other condiments to make it taste somehow... The price alone for drinks : small water + sangria was 10 euros 🤦🏼♀️...
Read moreIf you are staying in this area and looking for a restaurant for dinner give Sol y Mar a try. We did and were very happy with our choice. A party of four we had four different starters and main courses and all of us were more than pleased with the quality of the food and how well it had been prepared and presented. We will be making a return visit.
Aptly named Sol y Mar (Sun & Sea) you are seated overlooking the broad sandy expanse of Playa Pocillos. The restaurant has a nice ambience and all the staff are extremely pleasant. For the quality of food provided prices are very reasonable. If you have found this review helpful please click on the 'Like'...
