Bollywood, Puerto Del Carmen.
During my recent visit to Puerto Del Carmen, I decided to try out Bollywood, a highly-rated Indian restaurant known for its authentic flavours. Opting for a takeout, I ordered veg. Samosas, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Biryani, and the experience was nothing short of delightful.
The Samosas were an excellent start to the meal. Even after picking up the takeout, the pastry retained its perfect crispness, a testament to the kitchen’s attention to detail. The filling was abundant and flavourful, packed with a well-seasoned mixture that brought out the essence of traditional Indian street food.
The Chicken Biryani was another highlight. It was beautifully spiced, with just the right amount of aromatic herbs and spices that infused the rice with a deep, rich flavour. The biryani was impressively fluffy, and each grain of rice was distinct, a clear indication of the chef's expertise.
The Butter Chicken, the star of the meal, did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and had clearly been carefully marinated before being cooked in the signature creamy, spiced sauce. The richness of the butter chicken was perfectly balanced, and it was evident that quality ingredients were used.
What really stood out was the attention to personalization. The staff asked about my preferred level of chili spice for both the biryani and butter chicken, ensuring that each dish was tailored to my taste, which added a personalized touch to the experience. The waiters were also polite and attentive.
Overall, Bollywood in Puerto Del Carmen offers a high-quality Indian dining experience, even for takeout. The food was fresh, flavourful, and expertly prepared, making it a must-try for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in the area. We enjoyed it so much that we’ll be bringing the whole family before the end of our holiday. Highly...

We started with the poppadoms, and let me tell you, they were the perfect balance of crispy and savory, with a dipping sauce that made my taste buds sing. For the main course, I had the Chicken Tikka Masala, and it was heavenly. The chicken was tender, the sauce was rich and creamy, and the flavors were out of this world. My friend had the chicken korma, and she couldn't stop raving about it either.
And the drinks! Oh, the drinks! Let me tell you about the strawberry daiquiris. They were not just drinks; they were an experience. The perfect blend of sweet and tangy, with a smooth, icy texture that was pure bliss. Each sip was like a little vacation, transporting me to a tropical paradise. I've never tasted anything like it.
The atmosphere was lovely, with beautiful decor and soft music playing in the background. The whole experience was just magical. If you're looking for an Indian restaurant that will blow you away, look no further. This place deserves more than five stars; it deserves a galaxy of stars! I can't wait...
Read moreI would maybe look elsewhere. Party of 7, ordered starters, mains, rice and nan breads. On finishing 3 of the party suggested that "that was the worst curry that they have ever had". Personally I believe it was worse than that. When they brought of out the main meals. They asked who ordered the chicken Rogan josh? Nobody. He went away and came back and asked me what I ordered? I said chicken madras. He said there has been a mistake with the order. "Would you like the chicken Rogan Josh?" "No I would like what I ordered". "It will take the chef about 10 mins" "That's fine. I will wait". Less than 5 mins later the waiter returns with what looked like Rogan josh. Funny enough it tasted exactly like Rogan josh with a bit of extra spice mix. I did tell the waiter when he asked the obligatory "is everything ok" he simply shrugged his shoulders. Wasn't a cheap meal. Yes they obviously wanted to go home as chairs were being put on tables. But they shouldn't really try and cover up their mistake and believe that I wouldn't notice. So please be careful, maybe seen a different restaurant, especially if late (we entered straight after rugby finished, so wasn't exactly...
