This is a so named Italian Ristorante, Restaurant or Restaurante.
The Story is starting with the name of this Restaurant.
At the front side/ entrance it is naming itself with " Don Raffaello ".
Inside at the wall you will read the same!
On the bill you will read the name of " Da Raffaello".
DA or DON is the question?
Do you expect that the Servers are able to speak Italiano?
Not in this Restaurant!
When entering at lunch time we have asked a grumpy looking waitress with dark brown/black hair with pony tail and slim figure in middle age if we can get a table inside. She said it is okay but seemed to be angry.
You can also sit outside at the street to have close contact to cars with a distance of 30-50 cm.
Fast we got presented the menu and the Wine list..
Before (!!) starting to read she has asked me what drinks can I serve you?
I have answered that we want to order a bottle of white wine.
Then she went away.
A short time later my girlfriend has asked her about the offered Risotto with PORCINI. She was unable to answer questions about it.
We also got informed that only one fresh fish can be offered although several are listed in the Menu!
So finally we ordered RISOTTO (13,75 €).
I also ordered OSSOBUCO A LA MILANESE (14,95 €). I got offered potatoes or French Fries which I ordered.
Then we ordered a bottle of White Wine: " YAIZA SECO" from LANZAROTE (19,50 €).
The wine was served by a different waitress. It was not cold enough but we got a bucket with ice cubes
Soon the Risotto arrived. The portion was as big as the portion of OSSOBUCO.
With other words the portions were too big.
My French Fries for my OSSOBUCO arrived 5-7 minutes later like a dessert.
Refilling the wine was self service!!
The taste of the OSSOBUCO was different.
Half of it was quite well the other half was totally dry.
I am not a cook to analyze the reason for it.
Between 3-3:30 p.m. the waitresses have disappeared and men took over the shift.
None of them have cared about us.
It was difficult for us to catch one of them to order two more glasses of house white wine..
But finally we also got that. The taste was poor (2,25 € per glass).
Then we wanted to pay and presented the AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD. Two times it was rejected with the code. But the code was correct. Then the waiter has asked his colleague to get informed that only VISA-CARD is accepted.
With that card it was payed.
WIFI IS AVAILABLE.
My subjective individual rating:
AMBIANCE inside: 3-4 Stars
SERVICE: 1 Star
QUALITY AND PREPARATION OF MEALS: 3 STARS

Read moreThe ambiance is good with lovely table settings lighting and decor. Service is brisk, professional, but there is a definite underlying goal to turn tables quite quickly so not much small talk.
The menu is broad and offers a range of Italian dishes as well as some English and Spanish food.
Bread and water are delivered to the table, which you pay for regardless of whether you wanted it or ordered it,which is standard and cheeky at 70 cents a roll.
Regardless, the meal started well with the salmon bruchetta and a generous portion was delivered.
My wife had the veal as a main and I went for the supreme hake Genovese with mussels, clams and shrimps.
The veal was cooked well, although a little heavy on the garlic. My Hake though had been well over cooked and there wasnt much sauce with my dish, but also a random sprout in the veg?
I asked a waiter if my fish should be how it was and they sent the meal back. They changed it all, but I waited about 15 mins. The fish was cooked well the second time but my wife had finished her dinner by then.
Overall a decent experience and its what people do when things go wrong that makes all the difference. I think the only thing missing from here is a bit more friendliness and smiles. I would go back l, but might go for mor traditional Italian, which I am sure (looking at other dishes flying out) would have...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant in August 2025. We saw it was quite busy and the atmosphere looked good. We went in and sat down, they took our drinks order, wasn’t very welcoming. They then took our food order. Through the whole time we were there the chef was continuously shouting…I’m not sure what he was saying but all I could hear when I was eating was his voice. This made me feel uncomfortable and I did not enjoy my dinner. When you go to a restaurant you expect to have your dinner in peace or with some soothing music in the background, not the chef screaming his head off like he’s telling someone off all the time. The food came and we didn’t really enjoy it much. My funghi pizza was covered in mushrooms I could hardly see the cheese and my daughter’s margarita was covered in 4 different types of cheeses. They gave us bread and butter without asking for it and then whacked €1.50 on the bill. I don’t mind paying for it but at least ask us if we want it or not. The lady waiter was rude to my daughter and blamed her phone for being in the way when she spilled my daughter’s water on the table. Very unprofessional. The staff are not welcoming or happy. I wouldn’t recommend this...
