Unfortunately it was the worst dinner we had in Tarragona. The place itself looked nice, menu looked promising so we went in. However, besides the fact that the waiters were totally disinterested in giving a proper and welcoming service, the food was simply rubbish. I would like to highlight the spaghetti bolognese as being the most revolting one. It didn't contain any real meat, instead it had some big chunks that looked like parts of a badly chopped canned or lentil meat. The taste didn't even resemble that of the bolognese sauce, and it was so very salty that even I, the least picky person, couldn't eat it. When it came to deserts, half of what was on the menu they didn't have, and the tiramisu was the worst we ever ate. We left really disappointed and sorry to have to pay for such rubbish food and service! Hopefully others had a better experience and ours was just one of the rare...
Read moreYesterday (14/05/2023) we sat down in the terrace with an expecation to order a cappucino and a quick sweet bit. In a space of more than 10 minutes a waiter did not show up. Finally a guy appeared and took our order (2 x decaf cappucinnos, an apple pie and a creppe with chocolate and ice cream). A minute later he returned again with a pen and a notebook and asked to repeat what he had ordered. He listened but did not jote down anything and could not explain why the prices of creppes and some other items were undisclosed in the menu and what the price was. Then I checked google reviews about this place. At the same time a waitress walked to our table and asked us what we had ordered. She let us know that there was no ice cream left, she had only one piece of apple pie and unfortunately no cheesecake whatsoever. We had enough at this point and requested to cancel the...
Read moreOne of our stops on our route from Barcelona to Valencia was Tarragona, where we arrived quite exhausted. After parking in a central lot, we found ourselves at Cappuccino directly upon exiting. We ordered a few desserts, as well as tea and coffee, hoping to recharge a bit.
The quality of the food and drinks was satisfying, though communication was challenging, as even basic English wasn’t understood. Additionally, the staff’s attitude made it feel as though the language barrier was solely our issue. Given our sense that tourists are not always warmly welcomed in Spain, we didn’t let it bother us too much but felt it worth mentioning.
Cappuccino could be a reasonable choice if you’re looking for a place to relax with tea, coffee, and desserts, though we didn’t have the chance to try other...
