Pizzeria da bubi — Restaurant in Teguise

Disappointing Experience – Rude Staff and Average Food.

This was our first night in Lanzarote, and after a long day of travel, we just wanted something quick and easy. Most nearby restaurants were busy, but Pizzeria da Bubi was almost empty—something we should have taken as a warning sign.

We went in and asked for one pizza and fries to go. The woman serving us was blunt, but we were told it would be a 15–20 minute wait. While waiting, we sat at one of the outdoor tables. When the food arrived, we decided to just eat it there since the table was empty and no one said it wasn’t allowed.

The food itself was average—nothing special. When we finished, we couldn’t find a bin outside, so we brought the box inside and asked politely if we could throw it away. To our shock, the woman snapped at my partner: “If you order takeout, take it away. Don’t sit outside with pizza boxes—we’re not McDonald’s!” Her tone was rude, aggressive, and completely uncalled for.

At no point were we told that we couldn’t sit at the tables outside if ordering takeaway. Had that been made clear, we would’ve either taken the food with us or chosen somewhere else to eat.

We’ve never been spoken to like that in any food place. Ironically, the service and food at McDonald’s would’ve been far better.

We didn’t return—and thankfully, every other place we ate at during our trip offered great food and genuinely friendly service. The fact that this place is usually empty speaks volumes. Save yourself the experience—there are plenty of much better...

Very tasty pizza bases as you would expect from a wood fired oven. The capricciosa felt slightly watery on top, possibly from too many toppings but that's likely my fault for picking the option with the most toppings on the menu. My wife's Parma was better. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was busy, there were a couple of families in so the noise from the children while not unexpected did bring down the atmosphere slightly as did the relatively long wait for food. There were however only two staff on so we appreciate they were going to be overworked with the numbers of visitors in the restaurant and the food was good once it arrived so I feel still place still...

Rude woman working there. It was busy, we wanted 2 pizzas for take out. She said one hour minimum wait, which was fair enough. We said, shall we leave our number so you can let us know? ( we didn't want to get there and the pizzas had been sat for 15 mins, alternatively get there an hour later and wait another 15,20 mins) The woman got in a right mood and was said I don't have time to ring numbers just come back in an hour. The woman's never heard of customer service. Its not hard to be nice and say "sorry I'm on my own, I'll make sure the pizzas are made 1 hour from now so they're fresh for you" No. "1 hour come...
