We had made a reservation for 2, definitely need to book first either via phone or email as there was at least 4 groups turned away due to being fully booked and having no walk in tables left.
First off the server was brilliant. She was very attentive, kind and told us about the specials of the day. We ordered a bottle of wine, water, two starters, bread and two mains. Only way to describe the food was perfection. If you fancy something meaty and rich I cannot stress enough how much you need to order the slow cooked lamb. Oh my goodness it was to die for.
My fiancé ordered the tuna steak and it was cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were very generous and price was fair compared to the quality of the food and wine. Our bill came to €75 which was more than reasonable considering it is one of the best food places we have been to, not just in Lanzarote but anywhere.
The restaurant was lovely too, definitely recommend going. Everything...
Read moreAfter reading great reviews I decided to book for my mum's 75th birthday. Extremely disappointed. Met by a really stressed waiter who rushed through the specials, took a long time to take our order, and presented 2 out of 5 of us with a bread roll and no butter. Main meals arrived at various times, one had to be remade due to the waiter knocking a drink over it. Plates were cleared whilst others were still eating, found this to be rude. Felt like we were being served from Manuel from Fawlty Towers. Could not wait to get out of there, did not stay for dessert. Very poor, Lacked atmosphere as well. When I went to the bar to ask for a taxi, he grunted at me in passing serving other tables leaving me standing there for a good 5 minutes before asking what I wanted. We then had to chase this up about 20 minutes later ! Feels like it is under new ownership from the...
Read moreHow to ruin a very good experience. The food was very tasty, well made and overall this would have been a perfectly enjoyable dinner. Pity that when we had to pay we realised that the house wine we chose was billed 4 euros more than what stated in the menu. We asked for an explanation and we were told that “they changed the wine and the one that they gave us costed more”. This is simply unacceptable, if you changed the wine with a more expensive one, the normal thing to do would have been to let us know beforehand, because in this case we would have changed it with something else. Or at least we would have expect you to correct the bill. A real pity because this has ruined our whole experience. So if you choose the house wine, watch out because you don’t know how much you’re going to...
