Tandoori Spice — Restaurant in Teguise

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we walked into Tandoori Spice, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. A lovely gentleman greeted us promptly and let us choose any table we liked. He brought over menus quickly and took our drink orders right away — I ordered wine, and he even poured a little for me to taste first, which was such a thoughtful touch.

The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, hot, and clearly made to order. The portions were generous, and every dish was full of flavour. During our stay, this was hands down the best dining experience we had. Everything was spot on: the atmosphere, the service, and of course, the food.

What made it even more impressive was that it seemed like he was managing everything on his own — taking orders, serving, and still making sure every guest had a smile on their face. He was so attentive and kind, even pushing tables together to accommodate larger groups, and making sure everyone was comfortable.

To top it all off, we were surprised with a complimentary treat with our bill — such a sweet and unexpected gesture that really left an impression.

We still have a couple of nights left on our holiday, and we’ll definitely be returning. Whether you’re dining solo, planning a date night, or out with a group, I couldn’t recommend Tandoori Spice more. A truly...

The pandemic affected everyone and as locals when it was over we tried supporting local businesses, including this one. Some evenings we were the only 4 in and service and food was good. Since tourists returned and other business re opened we have not visited as often as previously. So tonight after booking a table we were taken aback at the attitude of the owner, which started as soon as we were sat....long time no see...and then when ordering admonished one of our party for giving their rice order before he had asked...then at the end..asking for the bill and when not produced asking again to be told that he had noted the request and there was no need to ask again. Never in all the years living here have we had such an attitude from a business owner. Whilst the food is ok, the way he spoke to us tonight is unforgivable and totally out of order. We now regret spending money in his restaurant when the island was devoid of tourists. Avoid...

Upon entering, I was greeted by a server who seemed less than thrilled about accommodating a single diner. His demeanor lacked warmth, and I felt as though I was inconveniencing him by being there. Despite this initial impression, I was seated promptly. It was a mixed bag. Food-wise, I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5; tasty but not mind-blowing.
