Taste of Atlantic Ocean!!!Our last night in Lanzarote and after being a little skeptic due to a big food disappointment on another restaurant nearby the previous days we decided to give it a go and I’m so grateful we did as after 10 days in Lanzarote this evening i can say it was the best, we went there 2 adults and 2 kids without reservation but that was not a problem and we were sat on a front table with Ocean and pool view,we started with a Mojito and local white wine which were lovely, then for starters we had Toledo Salad, Grilled Octopus and Local Cheese Platter, everything was so delicious every single bite was so tasty foul of flavour, with the started we were also served two different types of local sauces which with the octopus and the warm served bread were amazing, last for main we had the Scarlet Shrimp Paella for two and oh my goodness it was the best paella I had ever had you could smell the sea in it as soon as it arrived on the table and as soon as we started eating it was like you were eating something directly from the ocean, unbelievable. Also not to forget the lovely waiter Lucas who served us he was so nice, friendly and professional, all the staff was great also every single one of them helpful with a smile which made our evening and unforgettable one and if we come again to Lanzarote we will definitely be back here. Keep up the great work and food guys and thank you for this evening, Grazie Mille Lucas !!!

I have been coming to eat at Toledo last 4 years. Unfortunately today it has been my last visit. Just to make sure the food is great - just make sure they don’t scam you as it happened to me today. It was just the two of us I asked for the fish of the day ( always did ) I asked for the grams and was told it is 800 grams- which is a good size of the fish for 2 ladies - so we ordered. On the bill it was marked 1,6 kilo (the fish was no way above 1 kg). I expressed my surprise and said we ask for one 800 grams and the waiter said we don’t have 800 grams only 1,6kilo. I said that’s not what you said and was told “ don’t remember “ Well I am living here 4 years …. And never had a situation like this despite a 1,6kg would never ordered. Well this one just one of the issue - we received two pieces of bread with butter - one had expiry date 7th January 2024 ( today we have 14th February) second we opened and was already rotten. I show it to waitress she apologize and laughed at it however yes it has been expired for a month. No discount was applied just to be sure. So overall- fish was great but was scammed with weight and price second butter was expired. Shame I used to like this place a lot,

We pre booked months in advance for our final night as a special dinner to celebrate a great holiday. When we arrived, we were blown away by the setting- right on the see front, next to a little beach- it was beautiful. We booked a table for 6pm and turned up 5 minutes before. We arrived and were told that the chef hadn’t turned up so to sit at the bar until 6 as another chef is coming in. We initially didn’t mind as the setting was beautiful but we’re told that it was table service only, however was only served and checked up on once. The cocktail was strawberry dawn and it was so refreshing, although I couldn’t taste any alcohol. We were right next to the bar and ignored but people next to us had at least 3 drinks in this time. It got to about 7:20 and we went down to check on our table to be told still no chef but we could sit at our table. We were told just another ten minutes but we didn’t end up having orders taken until around 8:10/8:20. People at this point had already walked out with their drinks being free for their trouble. Within ten minutes of the chef turning up, our food came out, which was a little worrying considering we had steak/fish and chips. The chips came out and we’re barely cooked/almost white. We asked for steak medium rare in rosemary and it came in mustard and very rare/ blue. By this point we had to make do as we had an 11 year old with us and she needed feeding. We did have a lovely bottle of wine with dinner which was great. The atmosphere was terrible, no music and it was so silent. We were not thanked/apologised to when leaving about the 2 hr 30 minute delay in receiving food and no sort of reduction of price. We paid £77 for food which was not up to scratch. The pool which is next to the balcony you look over when looking out to sea is also filthy so that could do with a clean. I think consideration to contact guests before turning up to let them know that there’s no chef, the treating them like their welcome when they do turn up would be better. Our visits was definitely style over substance which is such a shame as I’m a massive foodie as was really looking forward...

Our evening at the restaurant Villa Toledo was very enjoyable. The restaurant is at a wonderful location right at the ocean. From many of the tables one has an excellent view of the ocean (at daytime). The service was prompt and professional. I cannot confirm many of the reviews stating that the service was bad or rude. Our party of two shared three appetizers, one main course, two deserts and a bottle of white wine. This restaurant is one of the few restaurants in Costa Teguise that offers genuine Spanish cuisine deviating from the standard pasta, pizza and Steak offerings of many other places.

The black ink squid croquettes were delicious. The baby squid platter with vegetables in “tempura” also and might only be improved by a little dip on the side. The potato foam with crispy octopus and caramelized paprika “de la Vera” is a thick potato cream soup, but not a foam. As a foam I would judge it to be too heavy. If one accepts the soup to be a cream soup, then it is very tasty and filling with ample octopus pieces. As main course we had the fish of the day a la plancha, which was fresh and well prepared, but could do with a little more seasoning. The deserts were delicious. The fig ice cream was homemade and just jummy. The millefeuille with custard cream was crunchy and tasty. Overall presentation on the plates was excellent (see photos). This restaurant beats many restaurants in Costa Teguise and either is underrated or many others are overrated. The four stars rating only reflects my high standards, reserving five stars for outstanding restaurants. I do recommend eating at...
