My wife and I visited Dolmen Restaurant whilst on holiday in Costa Teguise. We have been to CT a number of times but never tried Dolmen before, how I wish we had!
We have not long ago had dinner there and I can honestly say, it is by far the best dining experience we have had.
From our arrival, right through to leaving, the service and attention was faultless. We were made to feel valued as customers and extremely welcome. One thing that stuck out for me especially was the fact that as I have a nut allergy, this was taken into consideration throughout and staff were very knowledgeable, understanding and went above and beyond to ensure any food I had was OK.
The food we did have was absolutely delicious! We had filet steaks that were tender and cooked to absolute perfection (and I am particularly fussy with steak!). I also had the octopus starter which I cannot recommend highly enough - worth every euro! My wife had the filet beef wrap to start and that too was delicious. All portions - both starters and mains - were just right.
I have read a few negative reviews about Dolmen - please do not listen to them. The restaurant is very traditional and intimate and has a beautiful ambience about it. Nothing was too much trouble for staff and if there are any complaints about food at all, then I would suggest that the complainants do not appreciate high quality cuisine and maybe they should jump on the bus to Arrecife for a MacDonalds!
A massive thank you to waiting staff and of course to the chef for what was a truly wonderful experience - we will be back.
Oh, and do book because they are very busy -...
Read moreAfter checking all the local reviews of restaurants we decided on Dolmen Sardinia. Expectations were high and still our expectations were blown out the water! Quality of the food was unbelievable the wine was superb (house wines white or red). The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The standard and flavours of each course that came to our table was unbelievable, one of our 2 servers explained to us what was on our plates and talked us through the dishes, and they were simply outstanding. The price may not be as dirt cheap as some of the other places in Teguise but believe me if you were in England and got the same food and wine for the same quality and service you would be paying well over £150 for 2 people. For the 2 or us with 3 courses each couple bottles of water and a bottle of amazing Red wine it came to about €80. There is not comparison of price to quality anywhere I have been in the UK or Europe!! I don’t know what more I could say to praise this establishment anymore to be honest. One of the best places I have ever been. Thank you again to the staff and the Chefs! Hopefully no one will read the reviews and we can go back again and again without there being huge reservation lists in the future of which this...
Read moreJust as rude online as in person. Rather than apologising for the inconvenience and reassuring that vegan options will return, the owner chose to leave a sarky message, and hence has guaranteed a 1 star review wouldn’t be edited. If this had been explained at the restaurant rather than a flat “no”, I’d have considered coming back in the future, and also have not marked this as no longer doing vegan options on other sites. Instead, this owner has earned another 1 star review and a firm AVOID - if they’re this immature and rude online, I can’t imagine how atrocious the service must be inside. Grow up and be professional, this is no way to attract business somewhere which relies on tourism.
Edit for reply: I did not call you and you did not call me. We only visited last night to politely enquire and you were abrupt. We tolerated this but your abhorrent reply last night, to what could have been easily resolved situation, has landed you in this mess. But, like you say, “karma resolve...
