Samar — Restaurant in Teulada

We struggled to get a booking here due to busy season. But we were pleased we could get in during our holiday.

We had a wonderful experience, the pina coladas were the best I had in Moraira, they were the correct consistency with thickness where as other places they are more like juice which is not how they should be.

We had a wonderful meal consisting of lobster croquettes and grilled squid for the starters. The squid was not cooked to my liking and was raw in the middle. So the rest of the party ate this.

We had the steak for main, and this was delicious, perfectly cooked to our requests!

The bottle of wine was very tasty also.

The restaurant is beautiful and the service is great. But the food lacks (presentation is beautiful though, props for that). We ordered the Thai salad, and I don’t know that they would serve a salad like this anywhere. It had so much sweet things in there it was like a dessert with some green leaves. It had dried banana chips, strawberries, pineapple and some other dried fruits, coconut and who knows what else. Soooo cloingly sweet, we had to order vinegar to try and tame it down (not very successfully). The salmon tartar was good, but salty, too much teriyaki on it, so the salmon got completely lost. Had a pleasent table inside for five. They offered us croquetas as a starters which was very nice. Unfortunately, we had to wait 30mins for the first plate to come. We had the burgers, ceaser salad, salmon poke bowl and the dover sol (catch of the day) The curly fries were fantastic, the burger a little greasy but good. Ceaser salad was filling and very good. Sol was nice but the salmon in the poke bowl was too salty or strangely prepared and the rice was hot so it was a weird combination with the fresh cucumbers.
