Chiringuito la jabega — Restaurant in Torremolinos

Was looking forward to this place all holiday, finally tried it and couldn’t be more disappointed. Terrible service, the main guy (blue shirt, older with grey hair and beard) was hella grumpy, told us we ordered something else when we corrected the wrong order, told another couple they couldn’t sit where they wanted to as it was on a table for 4 despite it being quiet outside (so they left), proceeded to slag us off in Spanish after we corrected our order and the grand finale was him knocking a tonne of glasses off the side and smashing them by accident, then swearing and smashing a bunch more in anger. As for the food, we had Adobo which was alright and Mussels Mariniere where the mussels were dirty, gritty and covered in barnacles. Then we got charged €1 for stale bread rolls per person and then another €1 for a tiny butter per person as well… ridiculous. On the plus side, the younger server with grey top, tattoos, was nice, we just felt sorry for him as think his boss is a nasty piece of work. Definitely give this...

Looked at specials outside and decided to go in. Asked what the specials were and they had to get menues as they didnt know and which were different to what was outside. The starters came fast. The avacado from the avacado and prawn specials menu was black but the avacado and prawns on main starters were nice see photo. They cleared the plates but left us with our dirty forks from the starters. The first 2 main fish courses came fast but I was left waiting. They then came with my sides for the meat, 5 mins later my steak came out. The 2 fish specials were just full of bones not much fish very dissapointing. The steak was nice and soft no complaints. Plates were then taken away fast and we asked about desert. Yet again waiter didnt know what there was. It turned out to be just one desert and was unspectacular, it was like a long skinny donut and not nice. Will not be going back there again. Bad service and...

Visited this restaurant on 10th May. Ordered from dinner menu.Half way through our starter our main course arrived. There were 4 at the table. 3 meals were put on the table and a fourth was sat on the bar as there was no room for 8 plates on the table. Half way through main course, third course again was thrown on the table. We were then accused of having been in the restaurant earlier in the day and I am assuming we were being accused of not having paid. When I confronted the idiot who made the accusation, he said there were 4 "english" ladies in during the day who ???? We were not English!! In all my years going to Spain, I have never been treated so badly!

A course in Customer Service would help this denim...
