Coenvi II — Restaurant in Torremolinos

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant tonight. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. The staff were nice and friendly. We had garlic bread as starters, and the garlic bread was nice and soft, and we enjoyed it.

I ordered the pork chops while my husband ordered the burger. He told the lady to cook the burger medium, but she must have misunderstood and thought it was the pork. My pork chops were undercooked and there was blood in the plate. We told the lady that there was blood in the pork and she took the plate and went to cook it some more. I had expected that the plate would have been changed as there was blood in the plate, but the recooked pork was served in the same plate with the blood. I had to put the pork chops in my husband's plate and ate from his plate. The 2nd pork chop was still undercooked and I didn't bother to tell them that so I just left it. The chips and salad were nice and I enjoyed them. The hamburger was nice and my husband ate it all as it was cooked just the way he liked it.

We were here a few times some years back and the food was excellent. Booked (in person) a few days back for a table for two. Turned up exactly on time. There was a problem with the reservation because the person who greeted us said that [somebody] accepted another late booking. They added that some people turned up half an hour after their booked time and were clearly still eating. Our options were to either wait 20 minutes for our table or to sit at a table outside. We sat outside (clearly the tables are an afterthought) with cars driving past barely centimetres from the table. Waited a few minutes and realised we were just an afterthought and would be ages waiting for service so we left and ate elsewhere. A pity because the food was really nice last time. We felt like we were not particularly important as customers and that this was as evident in the way we were treated so we left. Clearly, people who turn up half an hour late for their table get priority and the customers who turn up on time can just swing...

This place has THE best Steak in Torremolinos! Fantastic Sirloin cuts. Even better Rib Eye Steak! And if you're looking for a burger, the Full Fillet Steak Burger is perfectly seasoned, simple, served with lettuce and tomato on the side to add to the burger if you wish, and a serving of fresh hand cut chips(not frozen fries) Wonderful family atmosphere, welcoming and 100% THE BEST service you'll receive in any restaurant in Torremolinos. Granted it doesn't have the most modern decor, and it’s quite small.. but the food! If you’re here on holidays, this place is worth a visit for Lunch or dinner. Thank me later.. It should definitely be rated higher!
