Florin Restaurant — Restaurant in Torremolinos

I can't imagine where the positive reviews come from. The place felt like a different planet. We are a married couple with two small children. We wanted to have dinner, so we got there in a good mood, expecting a normal Spanish dinner. Naturally, I spoke Spanish - after all, Spain is a Spanish speaking country with Spanish culture, isn't it. The waitress was an uneducated young lady who couldn't understand Spanish at all and kept speaking horrible English. She refused to wait on us without a reservation, although the "restaurant" was absolutely empty. The staff turned out to be Dutch with hardly any knowledge of Spanish and very poor knowledge of English. Finally we agreed to sit inside without a reservation. We made a disastrous attempt to order some seafood or fish; however, they didn't offer anything like that. The menu only included some wannabe Japanese and Chinese dishes like teriyaki duck or sashimi, but hey, however much I love eating Japanese food in Japan and Peking food in Beijing, I haven't come to Spain to eat pseudo-Japanese food, let alone in a suspicious Dutch restaurant that doesn't even present itself as Japanese, Chinese, or at least "Asian". So we just ordered drinks for our thirsty children and left with a horror-like...

We visited Florin for the first time this August and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this restaurant!

The atmosphere itself is great and we received a very friendly welcome, which made us feel at home instantly.

The menu contains a combination of unique dishes and public's favourites. Some dishes are meant to be shared, but you can order a three course dinner as well. The best thing is you cannot go wrong ordering, as every dish is well thought-out and prepared with care and high-quality ingredients.

We chose to share dishes. I would highly reccomend this, as you will find yourself tasting things you would not normally order.

Het was een avond om nooit meer te vergeten. Het restaurant is van de zus van een goede vriend! De eerste regel heb ik gebruikt in mijn vorige review niet alleen bij het restaurant kan je top eten, Bestellen kriigt ook een dikke 9!!! Wat een kwaliteit kan Florin regelen als het om lekker eten gaat!!! Het is iets prijziger dan gemiddeld restaurtant maaaaaaaaaar elke Euro dubbel en dwars waard!!!! Wij hadden twee java menus en kilo spareribs besteld, zoals ik zei het is elke euro waard. Alle drie hebben we er twee dagen van genoten en de smaken van het Indonesisch eten mmmm!!! 5 sterren en een dikke 9 voor het totaal!!!

Mijn oude review is helaas vervangen voor deze daarbij zaten enkele mooie fotos van de gerechten die wij hadden genuttigd bij het restaurant ik dacht ik maak een tweede om het verschil tussen de vraag en aanbod te showen maar heb het gevoel dat mijn review is vervangen of verwijderd!
