GARAGE Drink Station — Restaurant in Torremolinos

Intimate cocktail bar hidden in plain sight on the Torre strip.

Stayed at hotel Los Jazmines next door to Garage Drink Station for a long weekend on a stag do in April 2023.

Our stag group took over about half of the place as we passed through, but most customers were well-dressed younger couples, a mix of locals and tourists.

GDS is a tiny, intimate bar with a focus on high-end cocktails. Proprietor and mixologist Mons Henningson, our old friend from a previous life in the UK, has an eye for service and a great bedside manner that puts customers at ease. Mons speaks fluent Spanish, English and Swedish and knows life in Torre very well.

Our group used Mons's bar as a base of operations as we explored the town and further afield into Malaga, went to the Feria etc. Good advice on places to go, how to travel, getting taxis etc all comes effortlessly on the side.

GDS is a best for an intimate drinks date, I think. Mons has a sense of mission in how he runs his place and this shows in everything - a clean, understated Scandinavian vibe in the decor, but even more so in the quality of drinks and service.

Wow ... Best cocktails in torremolinos bar none. What an amazing place that brings you back every night. From my 7 nights in torremolinos I believe i spent 5 of them here. Peter the owner is such a gentleman that invites you into his life with honest stories of life experiences whilst listening to the best 70s and 80s music you can listen to. If you have a music request provided it's of the greatest era of music he will oblige 🤣🤣🤣 I never did get to chance asking for some spice girls but maybe next time 🤣🤣🤣 If you like cocktails and cheep beer with a twist of home friendly welcoming atmosphere then come to garage drink station... Peter is worth the visit 👍👍👍👍👍 so friendly and accommodating you won't regret...

Top spot for sports on TV’s , decent music and drinks but what makes this place special is Peter. He runs his bar on his own, makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated, it was so good we went here 3 of our 4 nights, it was closed on our first night, Monday. Peter deserves a day off to recharge! He cares passionately about serving the finest cocktails and although I don’t usually drink them I did give the pina collada and Moscow mule a try. Absolutely delicious.
