This was by far the worse lunches I’ve ever had. Ordered 4 beers and once they did arrive which I can only assume they walked them from San Miguel’s distillery was an act of chemical warfare, Vladimir Putin would be proud of. Not only were the beers atrocious but we had the culinary delight to look forward to. The food was so bad I’d imagine Josef Fritzl family were better fed. 3 steaks ordered, 1 with pepper sauce, 2 without and what came out after about 35/40 mins later were not what we ordered in fact it was just 3 pepper sauce steaks cause they couldn’t remember which ones were medium and rare but I’m not even sure it was steak, it was basically a rubber shoe and it tasted like one. A version of pepper sauce which you wouldn’t find anywhere in the world. Reason being, it wasn’t pepper sauce. Looks very much like a version of baby sick. Annoyingly this was the best part of the meal cause it tasted of nothing. So that was a positive. After the attempted assassination we found out the waitress which we hadn’t seen in over an hour had actually walked out and nobody thought it would be a good idea to check if she had any tables with customers on waiting for some sort of service. So please do yourself a favour and walk 5 mins down the road to copacabana for a decent, authentic Spanish meal with exceptional fish, shellfish and meat options. You will be doing your organs and your...
Read morePoor slow service, food ok. Surroundings pleasant enough, asked for our bill 3 times (was told on his way) and was close to leaving. Took over 20 minutes for him to decide to come over to us
Older guy eventually strolled up to the table asked us what we'd eaten then scribbled it on a piece of paper. He was English, assumed the manager/owner and quite frankly couldn't have appeared more disinterested or attentive without ignoring us completely
There was a large dog moving around the tables begging for titbits, fine if you like dogs, not so if you like to eat without being stared down by a huge labrador!! Although he showed us more attention than the guy we tried to pay!!
Seemed more interested in 'regulars' - both him and the dog, female co-workers seemed almost embarrassed at his disinterest in the customer's
Paid over 30 euro for lunch, so average prices needless to say no tip given. Other than maybe if he is employed he should be looking for a job not in hospitality
Won't be going back there...
Read moreAverage prices and surroundings were pleasant enough but the service soon took the shine off. A disinterested owner or the manager took our order. Our bottle of wine (which wasn’t opened at the table) was thumped on the table and left for us to pour ourselves. Food came quickly but was pretty mediocre. Other staff seemed friendly enough but it took us three attempts to get the bill as it seemed the owner had to be the one who dealt with the bill. However he seemed to be too preoccupied with regular customers. After waiting 20 minutes for the bill he appeared with a napkin and a pen and did a calculation on the napkin, stated the price, and that was the extent of the hospitality. Be prepared its like treated like a stranger walking into a hostile cowboy saloon. Or go to one of the far nicer...
