I was looking for a good place to eat a good steak in the city. I decided to choose this restaurant based on the reviews I found online and on recommendations from friends. At first we started by ordering drinks - very quickly and objectively. Then we chose the dishes we wanted to eat. Bruschetta, pasta carbonara as well as the steak I expected. I asked the waiter for the medium-fried meat and received the one in the picture - after receiving the bill I said that I could only pay half because I had eaten only vegetables, the meat was inedible, it was simply raw, one waiter went to another waiter, he understood what the dish looked like and agreed with me that this was not what I ordered, he suggested dessert, unfortunately I did not feel like sitting there anymore and I said that I still expected to pay for half - I think it was fair behavior on my part for eating only vegetables. The waiter went to get the chef, he came and explained to me that if I did not pay for it, he would have to pay for it, I regret that I gave in because it was his incompetence. He offered me a drink or some desserts. I think the restaurant and the staff should propose a different solution to the problem, seeing my reluctance to eat anything more in this place. The pasta and bruschetta were also not great, we had definitely better food the day before in the restaurant opposite. I do not recommend eating...
Read moreThe location is great, the staff is great. The food is not. The chef there is probably trying to do his best, but...they offer risoto with mushrooms and truffle (funghi e tartuffo)..instead of parmiggiano reggiano they use only broth while cooking..they add olive oil with truffle favour (you do not want to see oil in your risotto) and tgey spoil everything with chilli. So you have great flavour of mushroom spoilt by attempt to have also truffle taste (failed) and if you some how find the taste of mushrooms there, they try to kill it with tge chilli. Strange. Less is sometimes more. This is the case. The same story was with sea bass in tomato sause, where you could find capers, garlic and chilli again..why oh why? Dear chef, make your decision about the flavour and do not put everything inside..capers are fantastic with tomatos and aubergin. Why garlic then? To kill taste of capers? Chilli again the non-sense. Place is nice, recommend to visit, but do not have high expectation on food. If you want just eat, should be ok for you..last but not = Stroganoff. Please do not try to be state of art restaurant and think first about your guests. If you serve Stroganoff, you expect rich gravy. That is why you serve it with rice. Dear chef, none likes to eat dry rice..add some gravy, do not try to play Michelin. You are far from that :-) Add damn gravy..or try to...
Read moreAverage at best. But an enjoyable night in a great location, sat outside. Came here bases off the reviews, but in all honesty it was average at the very best. Garlic bread with tomato to start, it was like a deep pan pizza. Italian pizza's are supposed to he thin and crispy. Kids spag boll, lasagne and parmigiana for mains . I ordered the wrong main by accident, and ended up with the vegetarian version of the lasagne. First thing I noticed when they all came was how little I had compared to a normal lasagne. Mine wasn't too bad despite no meat. Lots of tomato and grease. The normal lasagne was tasteless. Full of grease and cheese. Barely any tomato sauce and couldn't taste any Italian seasoning. Kids spag boll was also tasteless. No tomato sauce in it. Great night but disappointed...
