Nacho Bell — Restaurant in Torremolinos

I got the Red Tune Tataki, my dad got the Sardines and we shared the Above/Under the Sea salad.

The tuna was amazing. Melted like butter, the presentation was pretty and the sauce you dipped the fish in a great way to balance the flavour. And the salad was nicely balanced with fresh ingredients. That pineapple... Mmm...

The service was good. You got pretty much free range to pick where you wanted to sit depending on if you wanted sun or shadow or wanted to sit indoors. While we were eating they went out of their way to accommodate a couple where the woman was in a wheelchair so that she could have a nice view of the ocean.

Staff was friendly. Food was amazing and fairly priced. Beer was good. It's one of the best restaurants of its kind I've been to.

The menu was in English and the staff was fluent in it as well. Which helps (even if we could have made due with Google translate and pointing it was nice to know exactly what we ordered).

EDIT....4 DAYS LATER... Our last night in Torremolinos and we had to choose, El Gato won easily. We started with 2 chicken croquettes and nann flatbread with tzatsiki accompanied with a bottle of red tempranillo absolutely delicious. We had to follow with the Indonesian chicken curry...this will always be our 'go to' meal...so tasty. The service from Mario and his colleagues was very good and extremely friendly. Once again, thank you for great food a lovely atmosphere and a very warm and welcoming service. EDIT, 1 year later....June 23. Delicious tapas and tasty sangria. We've ordered Tapas Deluxe menu and had a cold and fresh tomato soup, 12 tasty Spanish small dishes, desert and a shot of great caramel vodka each.

Because the table wasn't really stable, my husband had accidentally thrown our new drinks on the ground. I wanted automatically to catch them during falling but I cut my fingers on the glass. The staff asked many times if I was okay and gave me some plasters. The staff was great and very polite. We got also fresh drinks which were not on the final bill! Big thank you once again!

We would recommended El Gato to everyone for their great tapas and nice atmosphere!
