Snack Bar Cafe Latino — Restaurant in Torremolinos

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a cafe or restaurant. I ordered a sandwich, a water and a beer; the sandwich was perfectly good, but the drinks never arrived and the waitress was nowhere to be seen. I needed to get going so I went to the counter and asked to pay, waitress then reappeared and it took her at least two full minutes to “calculate” the bill for my €3.75 sandwich. I paid with Apple Pay, thanked her and left.

I walk 50m down the road to the beach club bar, and as I reach there the waitress appears behind me and says the payment didn’t go through and telling me it’s a problem with my foreign credit card. I repeated the whole procedure and showed her on her own terminal where to select EUR rather than the card’s local currency.

Having walked up to the bar and ordered a drink, she appears behind me once again, SCREAMING that I haven’t paid and she will call the police. Only after the bartender (who was openly laughing at her unhinged and hysterical behaviour) showed her how to use her own EPOS terminal was she able to take the payment.

The photo shows this deranged waitress thrusting her card machine inches from my face while screaming and causing a scene - all because of a single sandwich where she failed to even bring half of my order, and the fact she doesn’t know how to operate a credit card machine.

Visit this place if you choose to, but avoid this crazy woman - she has no place working in a customer...

Update September 2022. Consistency. A plus point. The quality hasn't changed over the years I'm coming, always fresh cooked. So hasn't the friendliness of the staff. Yes, at rush hour you might have to wait few minutes more, just like everywhere in Spain by the way. So what, you're on holidays! It pays off, trust me! And for those that complaint that the staff ain't friendly... Seriously? I mean... seriously?😳 .

You pass by, u see it and u think...hmm, just another beach sandwich bar. Hehe...waaaaait till you eat hear. :-) Superb personnel to start with and the food is always fresh cooked, cheap! and yummy yummy. Saturday and Sunday midday its packed with locals, to me a proof of its quality. Wanna have a table on those days? reserve ahead and if u're to eat paella(which you SHOULD!) just order it ahead upon reserving a table! Been going to Torre for 3x years in a row, im always eating my lunch there...cant wait till its end of July...

Had bad experience in this restaurant! Ordered mixed seafood and the fish wasn't cleaned! The gut and viscera were still in the fish! I called the manager to complain and he came totally rude telling me the food is served like this! I love fish and I've never had fish disgusting like this ! I had to pay for a dish that I didn't eat it was tasting disgusting! The manager should know how to treat a client! Never come back to this restaurant again! I don't recommend to order fish at...
