Restaurante los Manueles — Restaurant in Torremolinos

Really poor experience. Went here yesterday with my son and dad. Menue and location really lovely but once we went inside it was a whole different experience. We sat down no one was in the restaurant, no one even noticed us standing there. Once seated we were given a menue and asked 10 mins later if we could order. I ordered King prawns which were €10 and was told that the price would be more depending on the weight, I didn't mind the price at all but was so confused with the odd options. I was told I couldn't have rice with it as the rice is made to order. I had to order a huge side salad for €7.50 anyways I didn't mind. We then waited 50 mins for our food. My king prawns came and I got 1 large prawn with absolutely zero meat. I was so confused with it as it actually looked like lobster. I sent the food back it was terrible. My dad ordered lamb chops which were nothing but a plate of fat !!! He couldn't eat them and actually walked out of the restaurant by this point. The best meal was my sons spaghetti bolognase. I tried explaining to the waiters our issues but they were so unfriendly and didn't really have a clue to be honest. By this point the restaurant was busy and everyone was served before us we began to think that maybe because we wasn't Spanish they really didn't bother with us. I asked for the bill and was charged for everything. It came to €58, at this point I couldn't be bothered to argue or come across rude so I just paid and left with my son. Overall really weird unhappy experience and wouldn't be going back. I don't recommend this place at all. I never leave a bad review but I really felt this had to be said before anyone else makes the same mistake and has to spend money on poor food and poor service. Really wish I took pictures of...

The worst service and food I have ever experienced in Spain in all the years I have been there! The waiter, a guy with glasses, could not have been any less helpful or attentive. He certainly didn't care about customer service or getting a tip. He was rude. No eye contact or help when we asked about the fish or the wine. We both ordered fish. My friends salmon came out completely cold and over cooked. My cod was like elastic. You don't get any sides at all with your meal. All sides come as an extra. Unfortunately, we ordered "potatoes and veg" or, that's what it said on the menu. What came out did not resemble any potatoe dish I have ever seen before or want to again. The only way I can describe it as is "slime with a couple of shreds of red pepper skin". We didn't touch this as it was actually disgusting. We paid €3.50 extra for the plates of slime. We had sent back the bread as we didn't want it however, were charged for it when the bill came. If this happened in Ireland, I would have sent the meal back however, I knew by the waiters whole demeanor, it just wasn't worth the hassle. The restaurant was cold too. Most of the customers kept their jackets on throughout their meals. I wouldn't mind only my brother, who lives there had told us the night before not to go there as it just isn't nice. Unfortunately, we didn't listen to him as it looked nice from the outside so wanted to try it. The staff seem to fall over themselves to help out the regular Spanish customers which is fine but, remember, it will be a long summer with lots of tourists who have to eat. My group was mostly served raw good. We ordered from the non seafood menu. I had chicken breast that came out raw (I have a picture). I wouldn't have been so upset if the staff were friendly and said sorry but their attitude was horrible. I did not pay for my raw chicken to which they obliged as it was that obvious. I would recommend they offer sea food only! As their chicken and steak was awful. The location is the best thing about this place. Considering there was a group of 15 of us I would expect better service. We asked to speak to the manager and they refused. The only nice thing they did which we had spoken to someone in advance was have a cake for a birthday (50 euros). The drinks were fine.

Their response is telling. Everyone was polite because that's who we are as people. We all told them the food was not great so that's a lie. But chose to be cordial anyway. I did not eat the whole chicken hence having pictures once I got half way and realised it was completely raw. The fact that they removed it from the bill is also telling. Like I said maybe their seafood is better but we tried something else that day as we had already had alot of seafood. I hope they understand how dangerousit is to serve raw chicken. My suggestionis to use temperature probes to ensure food is cooked throughly. But no apologies for my experience... just my fault as a customer:( Terrible service. But...
