A Heartbreaking Decline After 20 Years
I’ve been coming to this restaurant with my family for over two decades. It’s been a cherished spot full of good memories, consistently great food, and warm service — until now. I recently made a reservation, genuinely excited to introduce two friends to a place I’ve spoken about with real affection. Sadly, what we experienced was nothing short of embarrassing.
The waiter who served us — a small, older man — was appallingly rude from the moment we sat down. Plates were slammed onto the table with an attitude that made it clear we were more of an inconvenience than guests. If a fork or knife was in his way, we were curtly told to “move it” — no pleasantries, no professionalism, not even basic courtesy. Just pure hostility.
When one of my friends asked for the bill and the other unknowingly asked again a few minutes later, his response in Spanish was aggressive and unnecessarily rude. We genuinely tried to understand and engage in Spanish, which none of us had an issue with — but what we did expect was a basic level of manners and hospitality. Instead, we were met with condescension and disdain.
We addressed our concerns directly with the waiter and also raised it with the management before leaving. Unfortunately, there was little accountability or real sense of concern — just more indifference, which says it all.
This wasn’t just bad service — it was service that actively made us uncomfortable and embarrassed. I’ve never had to apologise to guests I brought to a restaurant I’ve loved for so long. And that’s the part that really stings.
At the end of the day, I...
Read moreSo disappointed with our visit to this restaurant tonight. 😞 we were seated on the terrace. Although booked for 3 people table was unset, two sets of cutlery only arrived, no condiments. Food took ages and the amount of chips on each plate was so few that we ordered an additional portion. Unfortunately we had to chase up the waiter twice for the chips which when they eventually arrived the steaks had gone cold . This portion equalled the total amount on the three plates combined. Patio Andaluz is not cheap and we all felt that it was a total waste of time and money. Two other tables up and left and another family commented as they passed us that the service was dreadful. I would have to agree. We paid up and went to another restaurant for dessert. We have never done that before which is self explanatory. We definitely will not be back. Inside looked inviting which may be a different experience but I think that we will give it a miss. Better experiences and value around. Sorry Patio Andaluz it was a miserable...
