LA PLAZZA II — Local services in Torrevieja

I travel a lot alone around the world and often go to restaurants alone as well. I have generally received great service. I often have a three course dinner with all the goodies and I like to tip well because I am treated so well. The only country where I have not been treated well is Spain. There are apparently prejudices especially against women traveling alone..?! I wanted to go to the La Piazza II because I lived one month very near to that restaurant. I was visited by my family and friends during the time, but I was also alone in my apartment. La Piazza was a total disappointment! The staff was very unfriendly, arrogant and showed me that I was nothing because I was alone in the restaurant. I wanted a table out on the terrace or somewhere inside with a view, but the waiter pointed me to a small table in the corner, even though there were much nicer tables around and the restaurant was quite empty inside! Great spot in punta prima comercial centre on first floor with lift and escalator access. Very good value menu del dia at 15 euro. Both inside and terrace seating and great service on the floor. Well decorated inside with plenty of options on the menu....
