I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I was with our visit yesterday. It was my husbands birthday meal and we visited Asia kitchen based on a recommendation. However the waitress was incredibly rude and unhelpful. The options were very limited as we don't eat meat or fish which is unusual for an Asian restaurant. I asked for the red curry but with no toffu - just with extra vegetables. She said no! I had to repeatedly ask (4 times after looking at the menu and seeing nothing else) before she asked a colleague who said yes no problem. She then brought our starters and placed the smallest pot of sweat chilli in the middle of the table. We finished the sweet chilli and asked for another and her response was 'it's one between 2'. To which I said I wanted another, and again she said no! It took me 3 times of asking before she said OK. The tables around us were watching and couldn't believe what was happening. She then proceeded to slam everything on our table and surrounding tables. The lady opposite us said 'she's very rude'!!! I'm not sure if we caught her on a bad day... But the service was appalling. Shame really as the food was very tasty. But based on this I will not be returning and can...
Read moreWould avoid at all costs. We went to Asia Kitchen for dinner wherewe were greeted by the waitress who seated us to our table. They noticeably short short staffed and we asked 4 different servers for somof which said “yes hang on” The staff rude and abrupt and anything we asked seem to be an inconvenience.
The waitress then took our order where I explained i had a severe peanut allergy. The waitress noted this down and everything i ordered was ok. Everyone ordered and i then said “can i add a curry sauce on” to which she said yes - knowing i have a nut allergy as i asked the same waitress. These words come out of my mouth so i dont know why she assumed it was for someone else. She should have made it clear this had peanuts in regardless of who it was for as i asked for i, nobody else.
The food arrived and after one mouthful i could feel a reaction starting which lead to sickness and an ambulance being called.
They had the audacity to ask us to pay to which of course we didnt.
This is an extremely dangerous situation and i’m disgusted and angry that they did this after being made aware of this situation.
Id avoid at all costs if you have allergies as they’re not taken seriously...
Read moreGreat place to eat. The decor and interior inside looks really authentic and it's nice to have somewhere like this in Punta Marina. Service is quick - it can get a little busy and sometimes you're seated on stools, which isn't a problem but you will be sat right next to other diners, so it might be an idea to make a reservation beforehand if you can and prefer a table to yourself. We had salt and pepper ribs and barbecue ribs for starters. Both of these were delicious and there was plenty of meat on the plate, great flavours too. For mains, it was Korean Chicken and Lemon Chicken - they were nice but a little disappointing compared to starters. The menu said Korean chicken is hot/spicy but it was mild and lacked flavour. Rice is enough to share between two people. Whole bill for drinks, two starters and two mains came to €35.
Returned here this year (2021) and absolutely loved it once again. Quite a few vegetarian options, which is nice to see. Really love the tofu Thai Red curry. New outdoor seating are is beautiful. We sat in one of the huts (reserved it)...
