Restaurant Bahia — Restaurant in Tossa de Mar

Finally found the rude restaurant we stumbled into last month in Tossa. There were a few tables outside, all occupied, so I asked a young guy working there if we could order. His reply? With a super dismissive tone, he goes, "Can't you see I'm cleaning the table right now?" So we just said thanks and left. Sat across the street for a bit and watched him clean up a table after some customers left—clearly, they were serving, but it seemed like he just didn't want to serve us. Was it because we're Asian? Or because we don't speak Spanish? We come from the UK and I've never met such a snobby and rude staff member. Heads up to all my fellow Brits and Asians: steer clear of this spot. Totally disappointing!...

We went last night on recommendation. We had trouble getting a table in an empty restaurant unless we sat right at the front as the guy in striped t shirt said the others were reserved and as we were going to walk away he said we could sit on another table.

Food was served fairly quickly and of poor value and quality versus the price.

Other than the lady staff not friendly and they turned away two or three other people whilst the restaurant was still fairly empty.

We are hoping this isn’t a common experience here as this is our first night.

They need to remember the majority of their customers are on holiday and looking for a good experience and not a bad one they served...

I usually pick restaurants that are at least 4.5 or over on Maps, this one was a 4.3 but thought I'd give it a try.

The location is right next to the beach and the food is delicious.

We've ordered 2 x Menu 1 and all the food was amazing, from the Grilled Sardines and Gazpacho, to the Grilled Fish (which today was Dorada) to the deserts (Ice Cream and Creme Catalan), everything was really really good at a very good price for the zone. Having wine and water included was really a nice plus.

Definitely recommend.
