After watching Joc de Cartes we decided to try this place. 1. “Sopa de pescado” Fish soup didn’t have any seafood flavor, it was mediocre and the only seafood flavor I felt was from pieces of shrimps and muscles in my mouth, but if you eat just a spoon of broth separately - it tasted nothing. “Fideuá” with lobster was good, but nothing special, very mediocre… mostly it tasted like sofregit, it didn’t have rich seafood flavor. Lobster was good, it was half of it in this portion, not much meat, it was tasty. AMAZING SERVICE , high quality. I hope waiters get paid well, they deserve it! Restaurant was fully packed: terrace and both floors, we had to wait a bit, but it’s all understandable. Very polite, honest, respectful, professional staff. Second floor was quiet, cozy, with air conditioning, paintings on the walls. “Cim i tomba” wasnt special either, normal fish with garlic and potatoes, something that grandma would cook for dinner, presentation was also nothing special. Cheesecake… ordinary cheesecake like everywhere else. Nothing special.

Normal food, mediocre flavors… prices are fine, May be a bit higher than usual, seafood is fresh. I wouldn’t come back. Nothing...

We were a party of 6 and wanted a nice meal to finish our holiday. But what we got was extremely disappointing. We walked past the restaurant a few times and it looks nice in a great location by the castle entrance. So we decided to book it for us and our two sons and there girl friends. We popped in the evening before and looked at the set meal menu to see if we thought they had enough choice to satisfy all 6 of us. We thought so and booked it for the following evening. At the time of booking we were asked if we wanted inside or out and decided outside would be nice. The following evening we arrived at the chosen time and were shown to a lovely table. However, this is where it all went wrong. Firstly we were told that the set meals (€23 each) could only be ordered inside the restaurant so we had to move inside. Then ordering the drinks and meal choices was just plain awful, they just kept walking away while we tried to order. Then when the food arrived, it was virtually thrown on the table and I must say, it was bang average at best. Truthfully we felt like 2nd class citizens, even though our bill was over €200. Would not go back and would advise others to choice...

Out of the many restaurants in the area, we chose this one because of its location—right in front of the castle's rear gate.

Most of the dishes we ordered were quite tasty. I especially recommend the avocado shrimp salad and the sea urchin appetizer, which we had as starters. The cod dish was also delicious and left us very satisfied.

However, the steak was disappointing. We ordered it medium and medium rare, but it was served closer to well-done, making it very tough. As for the flat fish dish, the server filleted the fish without asking, which disappointed my friend who would have preferred to do it themselves.

I wouldn’t say the service was bad, but because the restaurant was very busy, communication wasn’t easy and that led to some misunderstandings. I also felt that communicating in English was a bit difficult here.

The issues with the steak doneness and the fish preparation seem to have been caused by language barriers. Other than that, I would say the overall service was...

Volia posar un títol que pogués agrupar totes les sensacions que he tingut avui, i no l'he pogut trobar, cap paraula defineix la ràbia, tristesa, decepció i menyspreu que he sentit avui. Conec el lloc de fa anys, però ara feia molt temps que no venia, tant com fa que la nova direcció porta el restaurant. Ho han destruït tot, no té res a veure amb aquell lloc on es podia menjar peix fresc i de qualitat. Ara és simplement un lloc per estrangers sense criteri gastronòmic, gent de baixa estofa que els és igual dinar un dia al Sa Muralla com afartar-se en un McDonald, ningú amb cultura gastronòmica podria repetir en un lloc com aquest, ni per la ubicació. Entrem en detall, jo em dedico al món del vi, fa trenta anys que em guanyo la vida en el sector, en la part més tècnica. He vingut a passar una tarda a Tossa, i he decidit rememorar el soparet que vaig gaudir potser fa 7 o 8 anys al Sa Muralla. Quan m'he acostat a la porta, ja he vist que tenen un lloro, que parla molts idiomes i busca entabanar qualsevol amb dues potes que passi per davant, bé, he pensat que avui en dia, és el que hi ha, tot i que no m'agraden els llocs amb aquestes tècniques de venda, solen ser en general lloc poc interessant, però anàvem amb la idea i hem accedit. Carta correcta, preu un pèl elevats amb relació a les racions, qualitat baixa, molt baixa, execució dels plats lamentable, posaré exemples. Musclos marinera, feia hores que eren cuinats, freds, salsa de tomàquet de pot i prou, no són marinera ni de broma, i això que és una salsa de les fàcils. Morralla, 16,50€, en restauració preu de cost 13€ kg, ració de 150gr aproximadament, per tant preu cost del plat 1,95€, preu a taula 16,50€ quasi multiplicat per 9, quan el normal és multiplicar per 3 o 4, una estafa. Carta de vins correcta, els hi fa wine is social, el marge raonable, hem demanat un godello de Valdeorras, de la celler La Tapada, ha arribat a temperatura incorrecta, pràcticament natural, em demanat al lloro de l'entrada si ens podia atendre algu i ens ha cridat al "sommelier" aquí comença el desastre, ens volen convèncer que el vi està a temperatura correcte, ni tant sols l'han probat, per verificar el que deiem, llavors ve la propietària i diu que si el que passa és que ens agrada el vi molt fred, ens posa una mica de sal i així ja fem, el problema és que no ens agrada el vi ni molt fred ni calent, sinó a la temperatura de consum correcte amb marge es clar, no estem fent una tast. Tot plegat dantesc, mentre sopàvem el lloro no parava d'empaitar guiris intentant convença'ls de les bondats del lloc, i es feia pesat, pobre bèstia, només intenta guanyar-se la vida, però sí estàs sopant molesta. Parlant en plata, ara això és un lloc de merd......
