Awful service - disrespectful, unfair accusation, condescending :(

We ordered paella & cava sangria. Restaurant manager came and tried to pressure us to order more with a condescending tone, and laughed at us, but we politely said we plan to get dessert after.

After pouring 2 small glasses of the sangria, I noticed it was a bigger portion than we ordered. I called over the server to explain we had only ordered half a liter. She rudely said, “you told me 1 liter of sangria, but if you want half a liter, I will just take this sangria now.”

I said we would like half a liter, but our 2 small cups is obviously less than half a liter. She said no it’s exactly half a liter. The server got angry and we didn’t want to argue or make a scene, so we let them take it.

After our meal I approached the manager to share my side of the story. While I tried to explain, he interrupted and unfairly accused us saying, “I know what happened. You ordered 1 liter, but didn’t like it, so you said you only wanted half a liter. We don’t like this game.”

The price for the menu was to expensive for the food you got... The entrance (mejillones a la marinera) wasn't tasty at all and was served cold, the second dish (paella) was OK, but nothing special. No drink included in the menu. The service could also improve. There are better restaurants in Tossa de Mar!! I've been to this restaurant 8 years ago, it was still a small restaurant, but at this time they had great food and service. It was also expensive, but it was worth the money. Now they have expanded the restaurant and they took the place of 2 other restaurants, so less competition and the quality of the food and service went...

Started the dinner with an offered portion of bagged chips destroyed by humidity. First of all, I would suggest to never serve bagged chips in a fish restaurant as appetizers, it's quite sad.

The menu is a bible. Way too long, bad graphic and bad font. It needs a redo.

Waiters are kind and professional.

Paella was salty, lacked ingredients and any real depth of flavour.

Prices are low but I will never compromise again if it means that the quality is this, I prefer to reach deeper into my pockets. However, I am under the impression that the amount of money I spent was not the problem here....
