Fantastic
This place is a real gem ! The food is fabulous. The atmosphere is cozy. The service is top-notch. My friend and I were in the mood for some italian food and found this place on google. We got lucky and got the last available table. This is a small three-man operation that can seat a maximum of twenty-four diners. There is a waiter, a cook and a guy who appears who to be constantly doing all the cleaning in the kitchen. We had a clear view of the kitchen from where we were seated. The waiter and cook are from the âheelâ of Italy, a place called Brindisi. The guy who was doing the cleaning is from Rome. We noted that they had an impressive menu but no spaghetti. We asked if we could get spaghetti. The cook came out and said he would be happy to prepare some spaghetti for us and recommended a seafood sauce. We ordered a small pizza called the â4 Stagioniâ as an appetizer. The pizza was rustic and delicious. When the spaghetti arrived, I was very impressed with the preparation, portion and the aroma ! The sauce had mussels, octopus, squid and a nice big prawn sitting on the top. Iâm sure there were other ingredients as well, but I didnât ask. I can honestly say this was the best plate of spaghetti I ever had and my friend said the same. The cook would occasionally come out and ask the diners how they were enjoying the food. I watched every single one praise the quality of the food. Of course, we did too. We enjoyed ourselves so much we were the second-last to leave. the staff was super friendly and we talked about their business and where they came from. We had pizza, spaghetti, beers, desert and cappuccinos. the total came to 59 euros. That was yesterday. Weâre going again today : )

Read moreSo we booked a table at this restaurant expecting good food as usual;hey it's Valencia Spain. When we walked in we were immediately greeted with an atmosphere of confidence about their food and hospitality. Well since I'm from California, and originally the state of Missouri, they had to show me what all the confidence was about. Let me tell you people, they did it. This food was more than delicious, and I'm a bit upset that it took my last night in Valencia to discover that this place is by far king supreme when it comes to flavor. Definitely before I leave Europe, I will be back, and for the restaurans in California, you have to step your game up after my palate has indulged in such great ness. I have never had such great tasting Italian food. Hats off...
Read moreIâm not one to leave reviews very often and itâs usually either when Iâm very impressed or particularly underwhelmed. Unfortunately, for Bajamarea, itâs the latter. Went there based on âbest pizza Iâve ever tastedâ reviews and can only assume that these are fake reviews, as the pizzas are very far from âthe bestâ Italian pizzas (yes, Iâve been to Napoli).
I ordered a Diavola and it was essentially a very poor margerita with 4 slices of pepperoni. The base was paper thin, lacked a decent serving of mozzarella and the dough was tough and crispy. Iâve had better ready-made pizzas from the supermarket.
I suspect theyâre scrimping on the essential quality ingredients (flour, cheese, tomato sauce) but charging premium prices.
