This is a cute restaurant with very good food. The only reason I have it 4 stars is because the service was not great. A few things we ordered did not arrive. We had to remind them of the wine that we ordered, and when we got the bill several items that we did not order were on our bill. They were very friendly, but it is a reminder to always pay attention to the check before you pay it, especially as a tourist because itâs easy to get confused by the currency exchange and the language. Everything was cleared up and they did apologize. The ravioli and grilled squid dishes were both excellent. We sat outside, which was not very pleasant as they are adjacent to a noisy and smoky bar.    Read moreOur first night in Valencia, we chanced upon this quaint little restaurant in the old town. We walked by it in search of a more fun lively time but something about this small restaurant seemed very inviting. We are glad we came back, it was one of the yummiest meals weâve had in Spain. Highly recommend anyone visiting Valencia to try AmaMi! Special mention for the...
Read moreFirst, one of the few quality places opened on a Sunday evening in Valencia. After a long day of travel, my wife and I were grateful.
Second, the food was simply delicious! We had the ceviche (mind-blowingly good), the meatballs in red sauce atop creamy mashed potatoes, and the flavorful pappardelle con cebolleta, habas, guanciale y pecorino! Every dish was prepared with love, quality, and joy; translating into a food dining experience better than anything we had recently in Italy!
Third, Matteu, our host, was very attentive to our every need and request.
We had a bottle of the Primitivo del Salento and were offered Amaro as an digestif!
A wonderful experience and AmaMi is a jewel to be found in the old city...
