It was recommended however the place badly disappointed. I would not recommend nor come back. The service was very disorganized, I order an orange juice and it was brought to the table beside us, later their coffee was brought to me, our water took 15 min to arrive, and worst of all our food - the traditional seafood paella- took an hour to arrive and when we followed up it took 5 min to arrive. Funny enough we saw other tables that had arrived after us being served with the paella (they only have seafood paella btw), which makes me think they just have our paella away to another table and never noticed that we were waiting for our food. Only one server taking orders for about 10+ tables while the others only bring the food looking confused to which table deliver to. We spoke to the server about the delay and he said the kitchen had 5 ovens to cook the food, that it takes time and couldn’t deliver to all tables fast. Too bad, some notice to clients for the long wait would be good but I’m pretty sure it was just that our food got to another table (just as our juice and the coffee of the other table). About the food: honestly not great, it was just good. Worth the price (food alone) not at all, there are plenty of other paella’s places in Valencia with the same quality and lower price. As said, don’t go. Find another...
Read moreTl;dr: don’t go here for paella - the staff said so. And there are many better places in the city.
We made reservations because we were told this was the place to go. The service was very disorganized and slow. Only one person was allowed to take the food orders and the others seemed confused when we asked for items like a knife and fork. We were brought tools for eating crabs instead but hadn’t ordered any. Our paella took over one hour to come served with a side of excuses. We were offered drinks we didn’t order, our drinks were offered to other tables, and we were charged for drinks we didn’t order. They also serve you bread - and then charge you for it even though you didn’t order it.
The staff said it took so long because they have a kitchen that is too small to serve so much rice to so many people at once. If you’re coming for paella, go somewhere else. Apps came quick for the tables around us who all are before we received our mains despite arriving after us.
It is not cheap. The food was good but honestly not worth the really poor service. We should’ve gone...
Read moreWhat a joint. At the back of an utterly nondescript dusty dock, perhaps deliberately frumpy decor of flimsy outside tables, as if they're actually trying to put you off. Which they probably are, because they're packed with knowing local upper crust who know the food: they suggested a starter of cold boiled prawns, offputtingly plain looks but and I was surprised at their fresh sweetness; then a mixed small fried fish plate with outstandingly fresh small mullets and an assortment of other little tasty critters. Missed out on a delicious-looking tuna tartare and mussels. Handsome fish for the grill are lined up awaiting to be picked out. The service is amiably irrelevant, jovial and neglectful in turns, which seems to be how things are done around here, well thats...
