MiKENGO — Restaurant in Valencia

What the barista gets out of this portafilter setup is quite remarkable. This morning I enjoyed a perfectly extracted espresso with perfectly frothed milk. Everything, from the temperature and the milk foam texture to the aromatic variety of the drink was excellent. Only a slightly more exciting roast would be a suggestion for improvement. What's more, the service was super friendly and always up for a joke. The food - both the banana bread and the avocado bread - was also delicious. The prices are fair and there are gluten-free options, which made my companion very happy. An absolute recommendation for this...

I stumbled upon MiKENGO on a recent stop in Valencia while working on a cruise ship and returned on my following visit. I was drawn in by the aesthetic - bright, cozy, and inviting - and the fact that it is only a 10 minute walk from the port. And it was well worth it! I love this coffee shop! It's bright, comfortable, and offers delicious food and drink. The apple cake is a delightful epicurean adventure and the coffee is perfect - the owners clearly take pride in their work. Also, they speak English and Spanish and offer very fast WiFi, which is a plus....

I really enjoyed the food and the coffee in Mikengo.

There was a good variety on the menu (including vegetarian and vegan options) as well as the cakes in the window.

The avocado, mozzarella and tomato couscous was delicious and incredibly fresh. My partner's mozzarella, tomato and spinach sandwich got the thumbs up from her, and as she put it, it's "simple but tasty".

The only complaint I would have (which is not the cafe's fault) is if you sit outside you're more than likely going to get a whiff...
