Not Recommended Café. We traveled to Valencia for a getaway, as passionate enthusiasts of specialty coffee. Intrigued by positive reviews, we decided to try out this particular café. Unfortunately, the quality of the coffee didn't live up to expectations – it was poorly brewed, and the milk was handled carelessly. The guy behind the bar seemed disoriented, mixing up orders and tables.
While ordinarily, I wouldn't hastily write a negative review over minor mishaps, I feel compelled to share our experience. Despite paying extra for plant-based milk, (WE ORDERED OAT MILK AND WE PAID THE EXTRA ) which felt unfair but necessary due to intolerances, we were served coffees with poorly prepared and clearly reused cow's milk 🤢 (!!) The barista (WHO BROUGHT COW’S MILK INSTEAD) showed little concern for providing adequate service or addressing our concerns, leaving us so disappointed.
Furthermore, the consequences of this oversight were significant. Due to the barista's mistake and lack of professionalism, we spent the entire day feeling unwell from the spoiled milk . Regrettably, we had to cancel the event we had traveled to Valencia for, which we had been looking forward to for months.
In conclusion, our visit to this café was a regrettable experience that we cannot recommend. The poor quality of the coffee, coupled with the indifferent service and subsequent health issues, left us thoroughly disappointed. We hope that our feedback serves as a cautionary tale for others considering a visit to this...
Read moreMy experience at Casa Fran coffee shop in Valencia has been a mix of charm and a bit of disappointment. The shop itself is an absolute delight with its modern, bright interior and an open-space concept. It’s the kind of environment that invites you to linger over your coffee.
Speaking of coffee, while it is generally good here, I have had a notable issue regarding their decaffeinated options. On two separate occasions, I was served caffeinated drinks when I specifically asked for decaffeinated. It was only after this that one of the employees informed me that they actually do not offer decaffeinated coffee at all. This was quite surprising and a bit misleading, considering that their other location, Fran Cafe on C. de Puerto Rico, does offer decaf options.
The pastry selection is average – decent enough but nothing particularly memorable.
Overall, while Casa Fran is undoubtedly a lovely spot with a lot of potentials, the inconsistency in their coffee offerings, particularly the lack of decaffeinated options, was a letdown. This is something potential visitors might want to keep in mind, especially if they are sensitive to or prefer to avoid caffeine. Despite this, the coffee shop has many positives and could be a great choice if you’re not in need of...
Read moreReally goood coffee!!! I had an oat latte hot and it was really well made, the taste was really good, creamy, nothing burnt nor the milk nor the coffee!!!
And I had a pistachio cookie and OH WOOW finally a dessert that says is pistachio and you actually taste the pistachio flavor in all of it not only in the parts of the cookie that had the whole pistachios! So super recommended!!
The service of the team was amazing, they will help you out to be as comfortable as you can and is super fast!! The local is lovely and small, giving a cozy vibe but there’s a chance you will need to wait a little bit to have a table, but...
