I hate to write negative reviews, but our Sunday dinner was totally ruined. Don’t know if it’s a bad luck, but we waited AN HOUR to get our appetisers, and this was with two hungry kids who couldn’t understand why it takes so long to cook simple spring rolls which normally take minutes since they are pre-cooked and we ordered it because of the speed. Then it was 1,5 hours of waiting when our order finally arrived. A waiter forgot to bring the second water, so we needed to repeat and it took so long to get it. Other tables next to us got their food faster. We asked for our last portion to be take-away since we couldn’t stay for so long in a restaurant, and immediately asked for a bill knowing it takes forever to bring anything. She didn’t understand us, so we needed to repeat once again. I wouldn’t write this review if the following wouldn’t happen: we got the wrong receipt. 2 refrescos instead of 1, 2 wine glasses we didn’t order, SIX waters instead of TWO. They tried to explain this with poorly working touch-pad, but come on.. How can you tap 6 times instead of two and make so many mistakes in one bill. This is quite sad, because the kitchen is good. But the service is extremely poor, and this is our second time we went there just trying to give a chance. Will order delivery next time because of the great food they do, and never visit the...
Read moreIf it wasn’t for the friendly wait staff, this would be a lower star rating. The overall experience and food was good and the quality of fish was great but there are some small details which can be improved. The first impression when walking in, you would expect to be greeted by the staff and asked if you had any reservation. Instead, when entered, we were starred down by Jose who was looking at us as if we did not belong there to the point when I had to say “hola” twice until he decided to respond to me. He didn’t even bother asking if I had any booking and just kept staring at me like I was some kind of alien. Then finally after a few awkward seconds, his colleague asked if we had a reservation, I confirmed and we were escorted to our table. The rest of the experience was fine. Only downside was one of the dishes (crab sushi) which could have been better made (see picture). I would try this place again in the future but it wouldn’t be my first choice given the first impression Jose gave me. In this day and age where there are so many food options, you can’t really afford to be treated this way. A shame… wouldn’t recommend it but I would give it one more try to see if the welcome...
Read moreVisited this sushi place with a group of friends. We ordered the Veg spring rolls and Prawn tempura to share amongst us all. The spring rolls were nice and crisp with a nice vegetable stuffing inside and the sweet chilli sauce was a great accompaniment to it. The Prawn tempura had a crispy batter and the prawns were fresh. Coming to the main course. Most of us ordered sushi while two of our friends decided to try the hot dish Pad Thai. The sushi I tried was the Futomaki Tempurized, it had a filling of salmon, avocado and cream cheese, with a nice crusty outer layer. It was topped with crab sticks and caviar. It’s the best seller on their menu. I liked the sushi, but maybe I had a different taste in mind which didn’t fulfil my expectations. Unfortunately I forgot to click a picture of the sushi I ordered. We also tried the vegan Caribbean roll Urumaki, it was topped with plantain to give it a Caribbean touch and had a filling of tofu. It was a different take on the usual and nice to taste. For drink I tried their Iced Matcha tea, was a first timer for me, it was okay but not a fan of it. Overall a good experience, I would definitely like to try a few more options...
