El Bar — Restaurant in Valencia

Me and my friend were staying at Rooms Ciencias and decided to have dinner at Elbar. A waitress named Laura was serving us. She brought us food vefore even water, messed up my food, brought me a wrong dish, when I tried to explain to her (in english and then my friend explained to her in spanish, because she doesn’t speak english) she tried to argue with us and I just told her okey, nevermind I will eat whatever you brought me because I am hungry and I don’t care. Then she brought us two “espresso martinis” which were anything else but not what they were supposed to be! When we tried to explain to her how they should be, she didn’t listen, she interrupted us, acted mean and called her colleague to come and deal with us because she seemed that she is not really in a mood for that. My friend said that she doesn’t want a new martini, so just one new, after we explained that she brought two new martinis, because she never listened to us and the bartender and the other waiter apologised instead of her again! Laura was incredibely rude and not interested in her own table and her customer’s problem or satisfaction! My respect, but we are people who work in the industry and we were really enjoying our stay in the hotel, the staff on the reception was really nice and everything else was perfect, but this girl needs to understand that we all have problems but we don’t aft like that to strangers and especially customers! The restaurant is a lovely and comfortable spot! 😊 We were staying right next door. Very convenient! We went there with our family, and the kids absolutely loved their meals! We were equally impressed with the food. The service was also excellent. We will definitely be coming back!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of writing a review for this restaurant, and today, I am even more delighted to share my experience with their breakfast buffet. As mentioned in my previous review, this restaurant is conveniently located near Valencia flats, where my family and I stayed during our visit.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the same friendly staff who had warmly welcomed us the previous day. Their genuine smiles and accommodating nature made us feel right at home. Considering we were a group of four adults and four energetic kids, their patience and attentiveness were truly commendable.

Now, let's talk about the breakfast buffet. It was an absolute delight! The spread was incredibly diverse, offering a wide range of options to suit everyone's taste buds. Second time here as its in my neighborhood and again very bad experience. The staff are very rude. My first experience 1 year ago was when we went for a coffee with a friend and I crossed my legs in a yogi seat (was seating on the sofa, shoeless in the summer), the waiter Damian came and yelled at me “you should not seat like that, you cant seat like this! Seat normally!!!”- what is normal?! My second experience today during the storm and red alert for rain and floods. We entered to have beer and some tapas, the two waiters told us that we can seat either by the door or outside (the whole place had only 3 tables and other two reserved). They were very unfriendly and the lady even rolled her eyes when I told her that is cold and raining outside. At the end they gave us a table and were interrupting us every 5min to order more or whatever. Super rude and not organic behavior. Definitely never coming back!
