Not worth your time
Yesterday we had a family dinner at this restaurant, and it was a terrible experience. I strongly do NOT recommend it.
We ordered six steaks with different levels of doneness, some with fat and some without. The waitress checked the order twice, yet it was still mixed up. All the steaks were overcooked — there is a huge difference between medium rare and medium well, but here everything was basically well done. The meat was tough, with only a small piece in the middle being acceptable. Overall taste: fine, but nothing that would make me come back.
The service was awful. In two hours, not once did anyone come to ask if we liked our food, needed anything else, or had requests. Waiters only came to clear plates, and even that they couldn’t manage properly. Silently standing between two people mid-conversation just to grab dishes is unprofessional and disrespectful.
Food and drinks were served carelessly — plates were not arranged but scattered. Several times, everything was dumped on one side of the round table with the attitude of “they’ll figure it out themselves.” We even had to go and ask for salt ourselves.
To top it all off, when paying, the waitress didn’t offer a receipt. As soon as I took my card, she ran off with the terminal. Apparently, other customers mattered more. I had to specifically ask her to bring me a copy.
Overall rating: Interior: 4/5 Food: 3/5 Service: 1/5 Food serving: 2/5
Not a place I would ever visit again unless they’ll figure it out how to do that...
Read moreThis restaurant is located right next to the hotel we stayed and was recommended by the front desk when we asked for a nearby place to enjoy paella with the family on my birthday. We made a reservation, and they seated us at a small table for two. That wouldn’t have been an issue if it weren’t for the baby stroller, which made the space really tight. I asked where we could leave the stroller, and the waiter just said "I don’t know", showing zero interest in helping, as if it wasn’t his problem. We also asked for a high chair, and we had to figure it out ourselves and place it next to the table in a very uncomfortable spot. The waiter’s attitude toward us was cold and unhelpful, even though we saw him being more friendly with other tables. On top of that, la paella de chuletón was extremely salty, and the meat we ordered medium-well came out undercooked. We were hoping for a nice meal on a special day, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Not exactly what you'd...
Read moreOur first restaurant in Valencia since it was near the hotel. The waiter seemed a little hesitant to serve us as we later found out that dinner time starts very late in Valencia. So 7pm is not the time to have dinner in Valencia. Doesn't matter as we could still order tapas and drinks which was all we needed. The San Miguel Magna beer was superb. Light, crisp and tasty, it was a perfect start to the evening. The dry aged steak done medium rare as recommended was also superbly executed on a hot plate with little seasoning other than salt and a little pepper. The subsequent croquettes was tasty but at the end the seafood paella was a little disappointing with its measly portions of seafood. Taste was acceptable but hardly exceptional by any means. Once the place was half full service was almost non existent and waiters were nowhere to be found. Perhaps they are understaffed or the pace really is that slow. I would return for the tapas and beer but sitting outside may be a good...
