El Reno — Restaurant in Valencia

This place has a limited meat mains menu. However, it did have sirloin steaks so we ordered two. The waitress took our drinks order including a bottle of water. We had just commenced consuming our drinks when she returned to our table and told us there were no sirloin steaks available, despite being listed on the menu. She also did not mention this when we ordered. There was no suitable alternative, so we said we would pay for our drinks and leave. Despite not having touched the bottle of water, she put it on our bill. We objected and she presented another bill. The second bill was inflated to recoup the cost of the unused water. To add insult to injury, she then attempted to short change us by 10 euros. In addition, there was no air conditioning so the interior was uncomfortably hot. We did not want to sit outside because of the potential problem of mosquitoes. However, we might as well have, because they were flying around inside due to the doors being opened because of the heat. We have learned a lesson from this experience and in future will not order drinks until our food order is confirmed. Overall, this was a really poor experience and we absolutely do not recommend...

We were served by a waiter girl, she was rude and harsh. She forgot to bring us drinks, we reminded her. she did not smile and demonstrated her bad mood. The meat was tough and chewed badly. Easiest 5 stars ever.

El Reno is an amazing restaurant by all accounts. Great staff, great service, excellent food. They take care of each single detail and each dish is served with excellent touch and amazing flavors.

I haven't felt that close to fine dinning on a regular meal in my life, and I had the chance to visit 6 three Michelin star restaurants in several countries and dozens of one and two Michelin stars worldwide.
