I was recommended by a friend and this place is really disappointing to me. The seafood (mariscada) is very expensive and very small amount. The worst thing is that the seafood is far from fresh. I cannot find a good reason to it. It could be all Spanish seafood are not good, or just this restaurant. (bc I have not had good seafood yet within the past 3 weeks) If you look at the photo more carefully, you will see that the shrimp's head is a bit off, indicating it is dead when it is served. The shrimps head is also dirty, which means that they were caught from a dirty place and the owner does not clean ( and I understand it). If you actually taste the seafood, they are really loose and salty in its meat, indicating the seafood is not fresh and you have to have heavy spice to cover it up. In general, I am pretty disappointed. Maybe not this place, maybe the Valencia seafood. It is a seashore city but with seafood of low quality. (And the whole restaurant will look at me in a weird way whenever they pass me, including customers. Maybe they know that I did not order the right thing)
Edit: Thanks for the response from the owner. I don't want to comment on the price part because the response itself does bring me some conclusions. Other people can have their own conclusions when they go. Update: The shrimps head is also dirty - The shrimp's head and sand vein (on its back) are also dirty ( and I understand it) - (I understand the owner does not clean the sand vein because it takes a...

Expertly grilled seabass as fresh as can be ..artichokes in season a la plancha and of course their addictive house chips fried in olive oil...all washed down with a nice half bottle of white wine perfect for the solo diner...Great service and one of their outstanding deserts to go...2023:On a Sunday afternoon the restaurant was full of local, multi-generational families having a long lunch. They obviously know a good thing and were enjoying multiple courses of the very fresh and well cooked seafood at La Longa. We ordered a tomatoe salad, their papas fritas which turned out to be more like American style chips house fried in olive oil, thin , crispy and pipping hot . We also had the padron peppers which were very nice and excellent sea bass cooked to perfection : All of this washed down with a nicely chilled bottle of Albariño. I don't recall the name of the desert but on the menu its under their " casera" ( home made) offerings.. It was a mindlblowing cross between a flan and cheese cake that we like so much we ordered one to take with us. Service is brisk and friendly enough. It would be...
Read moreA very authentic Spanish Seafood restaurant. It's a simple restaurant which seems to be a converted locale inside but really adds to its authenticity. I was there at a peak time: Saturday afternoon during July, holiday season. The services was great. We didn't wait long for our starters to arrive then followed by main and dessert. The waiters were on the look out and came to us whenever we were signaling them. Friendly staff too, taking time to explain the dishes. It's an authentic Spanish restaurant so you'll need to make some effort to communícate with them in Spanish. And finally the food was amazing. Really enjoyed it. We've also went for dishes we've never had before so it was a great discovery/surprise. Highly recommend it if you're looking for...
