Been waiting 50 minutes for the paella, and during we wait we saw a bad comment regarding the break with tomato sauce that they served it will cost money ( it will come to your table eventho u dont order it ), so we didnt eat or even touch it. But when we asked the bill, it showed that we get charged for this bread, so we said we didnt even touch it, and the waiters said, you get charged to seat in the restaurant for 1.25€ per person, and i said but it stated pan tomato, so isnt about the seat, and since when we have to get charged to sit in the restaurant? This guy try to fooled us. And he said asked my bos but she didnt speak english, is a rules is like that he said. And i teling him ive been to so many restaurant in spain and they bever charged for sit! And he said if u dont want to pay then is ok, he started to get angry! He made the calculation as you can see below with the red pen, and you also can tell where another lied he made, isnt the right calculation!! You better go to another restaurant instead of wasting your time and money to this restaurant!!

We rarely eat at any restaurant twice in one trip; La Truncha is the rare exception. Great staff, in particular Pachito, who looked after us like the professional waiter that he is. He carefully showed how to scrape & enjoy paella, the trick of cracking Norwegian lobsters, how to enjoy Valencia’s cafe bombom. At entry you are greeted with large glass case refrigerators displaying tonight’s fresh ingredients, all carefully selected, prepped & stored; many of the shellfish & mollusks are still kicking for the freshness, with the occasional eel escape attempt. (Don’t worry, they are confined) . Comfortable tables & seating; clean bathrooms. The food is the real star here, fresh & briny- ultimate seafood destination. Finish your meal with an excellent dessert & cafe bombom or glass of creamy rice cream. Absolute heaven. Thank you to the staff for 2 very memorable evenings. For the quality & service our final bill was very reasonable. I only wish we had another night to be oirnkA

My husband and I stopped here for dinner on a Sunday while in town and were so glad that we did. We arrived just before the restaurant had opened and the server sat us anyways. He immediately got us set up with menus and something to pick on before the kitchen was ready. The food was excellent! We had seafood soup, grilled cuttlefish, and seafood paella. The portions did not disappoint! We were incredibly full after, because the food was too good to leave any left over. The server checked in on us several times to ensure everything was pleasant and ended our meal with a small soothing liquid treat. We felt very taken care of here. To find out the history of this place (the server and his father run this spot together) made it even more special. If we were here longer we would eat here again! If we ever find ourselves back in Valencia we will return back!

Absolutely phenomenal seafood restaurant, a true Gem in Valencia. We travelled to Spain from LA, USA and were stunned with this specific restaurant after having an okay made seafood in Barcelona and then Valencia. I would not recommend any visitors to Valencia on going to many existing seafood at many over crowded & touristy locations. Sadly, the food quality (even though it is still could be good) it is often not top quality but rather an attempt of taking an advantage of the tourists.

Secondly, many seafood restaurants are reviewed not for the fresh food but rather for the bar hopping and its drinks, while the food itself, as an art of the greatest Spanish cuisine gets ignored.

As a matter of fact-it is known that a Drunk party people will eat anything.

Therefore, such food reviews might be highly misleading to those tourists who travel to experience the real culture of Spain including an authenticity of Spanish culinary art.

Finally- please get your experience at a world class family own unique restaurant with amazingly fresh and tasty seafood platter, seafood soup that was delicious, best tasting paella, great wine , and phenomenal Irish coffee.

The service was felt as this us a first class restaurant with the proper dinnerware & a table cloth: clean and cozy. Excellent place for experiencing real seafood cooking cannot add any other words but Exclusive dining family and friends friendly another big plus.

Thank you, La Turcha Valencia!!! We will spread the word around and yes: We will be...
