Worst Dining Experience in Spain – Treated Like Garbage. Tourists steer clear from this place.

From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed annoyed by our presence — especially once they realized we were tourists. They were rude, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. We were patient when they messed up our order not once OR twice. From not bringing dishes out, forgetting our water and not even giving us glasses, informing us we can make modifications to dishes, but bringing it out wrong and gaslighting us that they never said yes… And they even left without taking my whole tables order. It was as if the whole staff on shift were randomly chosen 10 minutes before we arrived and didn’t know how to communicate at all. Instead of apologizing or trying to fix it, they literally yelled at us and started mocking us by making faces behind their managers back as we were speaking to him about the blunt disrespect. Never in my life has a waiter ever yelled at me standing above me at my table and across the restaurant as we were leaving… As a tourist if you want to experience a dinner being targeted for just not being a local this...

I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was bad enough that I feel people should be warned. From the moment we walked in, the service was a disaster. The two servers we encountered—one with a goatee and another with a shaved head—were the rudest, most confrontational staff I’ve ever dealt with in a restaurant setting.

They seemed annoyed the moment we asked simple questions about the menu, rolling their eyes, shaking their heads and giving short, dismissive and condescending answers. At one point, the server with the goatee even raised his voice when we asked if a dish could be modified slightly. Basic customer service skills were completely absent—it felt like we were bothering them just by being there, like they were doing us a favour.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t redeem the experience either. Most of what we ordered tasted subpar and looked hastily thrown together, far from the quality the prices suggested.

Overall, this place failed on both service and food. With so many other dining options out there, I’d recommend skipping this one entirely.

P.S. If I could give this restaurant zero...

It was a horrible experience. We announced right from the start that we are in a hurry and we need to catch a plain. They said they understood but did nothing about it after. We waited a lot for the food to come, although we all chose the daily menu, which would have been prepared in advance. We ordered the desserts at the beginning of our meal, reitering we are in a hurry and have a plane to catch. For the main course we ordered paella for which they didn't bother to bring plates. We ate it from the pan (3 people, same pan). We asked again for the check and the desserts. We waited for another 45 minutes for them, while we kept saying we were in a hurry. We were completely ignored by all the staff and even if I asked 3 times to speak to a manager, they didn't even bother to give me an answer and nobody came. The food was mediocre at best, and the paella for which we paid extra, was the worst I've had in all my trips in Spain. I'd like to mention that the desserts we waited for, for 45 minutes cause they "were being prepared", were tirramisu (which are made a day in advance). Awful experience, I would never ever...

Located on the bustling and popular Calle Sant Vicent Màrtir, Los Gómez is the perfect spot to soak up the afternoon sun with a drink or enjoy a fantastic meal. Its vibrant atmosphere and prime location make it a hit with both locals and tourists, and it’s easy to see why. We started with the selection of croquettes, and each one was a delightful surprise—unique, flavorful, and expertly crafted. This was followed by the Valencian-style paella with rabbit, chicken, and snails, a true representation of the region's culinary heritage. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the rice was cooked to perfection with a rich depth of taste in every bite. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring everything was just right, even amidst the clear popularity of the place. The bustling atmosphere only added to the charm, reflecting how beloved Los Gómez is among locals and visitors alike. If you're in Valencia, this spot is a must-visit for delicious food, excellent service, and an authentic experience. Whether you're stopping by for drinks or indulging in a meal, Los Gómez is sure to impress!

A Great Spot for Valencian Cuisine! We visited this restaurant during siesta time and had a wonderful experience. My parents and I shared a Seafood Paella and “Calamares a la Romana,” both of which were delicious and very filling. To complement the meal, we ordered Sangria Tinta, which was light, refreshing, and not overly strong—perfect for the occasion. I also recommend ordering some bread for the table. It was incredibly fresh and served with a flavorful garlic sauce and shredded tomato, adding a nice touch to the meal. Special shoutout to Roberto Vero, our waiter, who went above and beyond to explain the menu and Valencian cuisine. His attentiveness and insights made our first dining experience in Valencia even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic place—I’d happily return!
