As an upscale restaurant I must admit the food and the service as well as the atmosphere was well above par. The staff really couldn't have been more professional. But also being somewhat upscale they were a little more formal than obviously a casual place. Once seated we were told we had 2 hours to finish our meal which is a very long time for just two Americans eating. The only issue I have is that our food arrived amazingly fast I mean like maybe under 5 minutes post ordering. After that the staff kept coming by asking if they could clear my plate because I eat quite a bit faster than my companion, my wife. They asked me two to three maybe even four times if they could clear my plate which really was unwelcome since we had 2 hours to finish our meal. As I stated earlier the food was really really good if you check out my photos the atmosphere was really nice. I am an architect and can really appreciate nice design and configurations. I would gladly go back and run to recommend this place I do know my wife stated the same issue I outline regarding being rushed and they said that they would adjust it. I would gladly revisit the establishment and when we return back to the Valencia I plan on going there once again. I highly recommend it especially the steak that was very well cooked perfect for our desire which was rare.

Eight of us had lunch here while on our full day tour in Valencia. Our guide, Adela, suggested several places for lunch, places that she frequents. We decided on Sagardi Valencia Centro, which services some tasty pintxos (Basque type of tapas, but individual servings, which are thick cuts of bread topped with a variety it toppings). We arrived before the place filled up. The bar had many plates of pintxos to choose from (2.50 euros each); plus they would bring out some hot pintxos from the kitchen. The one person behind the bar explained all of them. I selected four, which was plenty for me. They were quite filling. I had hoped for a better variety, as several of them looked very similar. I didn't see any with shrimp or squid. We didn't have the opportunity to try but one of the hot pintxos (they rarely came out of the kitchen), which was a chorizo type pintxos. It was excellent. I had a glass of red wine and my husband had a beer. Our bill for the two of us came to $31.12. We arrived at the perfect time. There were four tables available. By the time we finished the place was packed. They also have a main menu with some very expensive and well-aged beef. That would be something great to try if we are back in Seville and spending time there.

An incredible steakhouse with some of the freshest fish you’ll find, Sagardi is a true hidden gem in the heart of Valencia. Specializing in traditional Basque cuisine, this restaurant by Iñaki and Mikel López de Viñaspre transports you straight to the old-world flavors of el País Vasco with a fine dining twist. As a food lover, every bite felt like a journey back to the roots of high-end Spanish cuisine. The pacing of the meal was perfect and each dish arrived at just the right time so we could savor every flavor without feeling rushed. The staff were extremely attentive, always checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything. If you’re looking for something quicker, Sagardi also has a tapas bar downstairs, perfect for grabbing a bite without committing to a full meal. A must-visit for anyone wanting an authentic yet elevated Spanish dining experience! What we ate (party of 4) Grilled fine clam from Galicia Daily fresh anchovies bermeana style Callos Homemade Sourdough Bread Main Courses (To Share): Scorpion Fish Tomahawk Steak Desert: Chocolate Ice Cream Chocolate

My husband and I had a fabulous lunch here! Its not inexpensive, but it was, in my opinion, worth it. We ate in the upstairs dining room, not in the downstairs bar.

First off, the wine service. We both started with a glass of Txakoli, a white varietal from the Basque country. Our server opened a new bottle, allowed us to taste and approve it before pouring the appropriate amount into our classes. The bottle was put in an ice bucket and left on the table in case we wanted more. We did not. I switched to red wine with my main course and, again, she brought a new bottle and allowed me to taste it. The wine was not to my liking; that bottle was taken away and a different varietal presented. The same process ensued and this wine approved. Again, the bottle remained on the table. Of course this makes it much easier to sell another glass of wine, but I appreciate that I'm getting a fresh bottle, not what was left over from closing the night before. All opened and unfinished bottles are sent down to the bar for service there, not for use in the dining room.

Now, the food. After ordering, we were presented with delicious little sausages to whet our palates. We split a perfectly dressed goat cheese salad with raisins and nuts. My husband's oven baked brown crab was sublime and my oxtail was superb. The sourdough bread was just right for mopping up both the salad dressing and my rich sauce. For dessert, I chose Goxua, which is layers of sponge cake, custard and cream with a creme brulee like top, served atop a slash of caramel on the plate. My husband's warm strawberries with house made ice cream was also a winner.

If you want a steak, they had some awesome looking cuts sitting out, just waiting to be chosen for someone's meal. One was devoured during our visit. The service was attentive, friendly and efficient. The restaurant is conveniently located close to the Cathedral and other Valencia landmarks.

We went again with friends and were all extremely pleased with our meals and the service. The artichokes were excellent! We also thoroughly enjoyed the leeks, the beef carpaccio, the duck, and the special of scorpion fish. It's not inexpensive, but is certainly worth the...

The location is great, the restaurant looks nice and the staff is in general very friendly. It was a busy Saturday night, a lot of work and stress, which is understandable. Nevertheless, the experience was too bad unfortunately. When asking for a table for 1pax , the younger hostess found the one that was paying & "assigned" it to me. I just had to wait for it to become empty and cleaned. While waiting for 5-10min, comes in the family of 3 & another hostess lady seats them on "my" table. They forgot about me. I approach this hostess lady myself and point out nicely: "hey, I think your colleague prepared this table for me." (I did not care about this particular table, my point was that I needed a table , and I was waiting for one); she said "ah BUT you can take the one at the window". Nothing else was said. No acknowledgment, no empathy, not bringing me to the table. "First come first serve" rule is definitely missing out there. Obviously, the window table was not cleaned and nobody bothered. The cold starter was brought together with the hot main dish (they were not meant to be eaten together). Hot main dish got cold. The dirty dishes were standing for a long time. No question if I need more drinks. No attention at all. Had to approach the waitress myself to ask for a bill. This window table is next to the bar counter, so I had backs of waitresses always around me, standing there and discussing loudly their business. Almost every place has this "not so cozy" corner tables, and, I totally understand you need to pick up your drinks and do your job. In this case, just acknowledge the guest and do not be loud. A lot of other service flaws in general. The only person who knew his business was Chef Bartender. He acknowledged me , matched wine to my tastings and was attentive. The young guys are all very friendly, but they need...
