There simply aren't enough superlatives to praise this lovely restaurant. The staff were so welcoming and fitted us in, even though we hadn't booked. The restaurant itself was a quirky mix of styles, very cool! We ended up going twice because we were so impressed with the food. On the first night we had simple starters followed by vegan moussaka which was unctuous and packed with flavour. We've never had such good moussaka and the portion was huge! On the second night we opted for a traditionally tapas style meal. We ordered 5 plates which was a big mistake as we were so full we couldn't finish the final one! Stand out dishes included the patatas bravas (crispy potatoes in a creamy sauce); Japanese mushrooms and garlic (lovely flavours, so unusual); mushroom croquettes (served with a sweet cinnamon reduction - mind-blowingly tasty and artichokes with a creamy tomato sauce (crisp artichokes which harmonised perfectly with the sauce). Everything was very reasonably priced and came out quickly. That said, we weren't rushed, even though they were busy. We loved the place, the staff and the foot - in a city full of meat and fish restaurants, it was the find of...
Read moreWent to this place twice since it has been so hyped in Valencia around vegans. None of the times I was very impressed. Food sounds good, but is in fact really quite bland. Have tried the moussaka, the pad thai and the pasta. Moussaka was by far the tastiest, but the pad thai was dry and the pasta was RIDICULOUSLY small. Seriously, if would want to impress someone with vegan food I would go somewhere else. Worst thing though is the staff. Their lack of enthusiasm ruins the whole atmosphere. One waitress, the one with tall dark hair, seriously told a group of four to leave their table, although they had already paid and probably were about to leave in a few minutes. NOTE; told, not asked. If you do not understand the value of asking politely, accustoming to peoples efforts about speaking spanish (she spoke english to everyone who tried to practice their spanish) or feel you have it in you to greet your customers with a smile - you should find another job. This place has potential. Location is good and the concept is great. But replace the staff with people who actually know what...
Read moreWe walked past this place today and they luckily had some space for us! The atmosphere is chilled and spacious with a good vibe. The staff are absolutely on point, uber attentive and lovely. The reason we walked in was because the menu sounded so good. And it did not disappoint, the food was great. We started of with the pakora and they were tasty but we were blown away by the jackfruit tacos. I am a massive fan of tacos, loving the fusión of tacos globally and these were among some of the best I have ever had! These tacos for me were a gem, the shell were foldable but crispy enough and the filling exploded with tectures and flavours. My only regret was not ordering more. As a main we got the moussaka and this too was devine. The cheese in it was a real winner as it gave the meal a savory tasty texture throughout. We also got cheese cake as a dessert. It was perfect. Sorry but I don't have the words to describe it.
We will be going back this week for more tacos and to try other dishes.
Thanks so much for making the food so good and the...
