I want to share my experience as a solo traveler. I was there earlier today on 11.50 around the restaurant is closed which is tell by google that it open hour. And yes I walk around and come back to this place. I was standing in front for 5 minutes and try to say hi to people who work in. I try to get the table for myself which is the kitchen just opening and I am the first customer which is no line or any reservation table for now. There are 3 table of 4 outside and today weather is so nice I wish I can take 1 of 3 table outside but the waitress guide me to change the table to the small on next to the front door which is not match my body size at all. She also offer the table inside which is I don’t know why she scare me to run away after have a lunch here or not. I attached my look today with this review to show that’s I’m not look that bad at all. So, I decided to walk away without saying anything. I would love to try your restaurant. I was taking the bus 30 minutes from the city center for you and you are close I wait until you open and very hungry for food at the end I find myself others place who welcome me and treat me the way I should be treated. I understand you restaurant might be busy all the time but there is nobody right now. Giving the table to the one who come here for the first might be respectful somehow. Just letting you know or any manager or the person who in-charged with this will get this feed back and develop the service design of this restaurant to be better. Your restaurant is on the top list that my Airbnb host recommended to try. I would love too but not a chance for that. So, if anyone want to try and you are a group of 4 or 3 there might serve you an outstanding food and service.

This is my second attempt at this restaurant, I got in due to dire circumstances- last week‘s DANA rain walls still hold Valencia in a grip, and everyone is affected. So it‘s an odd kind of luck. Loved the spicy-sweet freshness of the Corvina ceviche, loved the rosé wine, a Ramon Bilbao Rioja - dry, crisp, perfect for fish companionship. The ceviche didn’t carry dried corn, though - you know - the big ones that add a nice crunchy texture to everything soft and spicy in a leche-de-tigre ceviche. So I asked for it, only to hear it wasn’t part of it. Okay or not okay. So I ordered some bread instead to take off the edge of it. What came, however, was half a loaf of ciabatta with (a very salty) alioli and a really lovely tomato sauce (think a light gazpacho). Way too much. It wasn’t what I expected, and it showed on the bill. At the table next to me, a young French couple had the exact same experience - ordered bread, got a loaf - why don‘t you just serve a bit of sliced bread when customers ask for it? The cheerful, friendly waiter - out of Rome, as it turned out - could however not bend the rules: No bread except in XXL portions. The place is popular with foreigners and locals alike - why not please them all? Here’s a catch: I ended up eating lots of bread instead of ordering another dish. I lose, but you lose too. Another catch: more and more of us enjoy eating out alone, happily willing to spend. You’ve already got small tables, perfect for single diners - which is great. Just how about downsizing portions - tapas as well as bread? Everybody would be happy. And it wouldn’t harm your business either.

We had a wonderful dinner at Taska La Reina this evening — every dish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully cooked. We especially loved the ceviche, coquilles St. Jacques, croquetas de jamón, sepia a la plancha, and calamares a la plancha. Honestly, everything was so good that we didn’t even stop to take any photos — we were too busy enjoying the meal! What really made the experience stand out, though, was the warm and attentive service. Alessandro took great care of us with genuine friendliness and professionalism, effortlessly switching between English, Italian, and Spanish. He, Valeria, and the whole team made us feel so welcome — a level of hospitality that’s hard to find. As locals, we often long for this combination of excellent food and heartfelt service — and Taska La Reina delivered both. We’re leaving this review not just out of appreciation, but also in hopes of earning the free dessert they promise for sharing feedback… although truthfully, the experience itself was already a treat. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! WASTE OF MONEY & WAY BETTER RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA!!! Short version: regular guests, spent a lot of money every time, get kicked out after 1:45h because they reserved the table for someone else aswell - mediocre food for way too expensive, awful service. :))))) We were regular guests - and i mean really regular. Today we have experienced the WORST service we have experienced, not only in regard to this restaurant but in general. we have visited this restaurant: as a couple, with family and today with my best friends who visited us. it was a disgrace. starting with the food it was always a 50/50 chance, either good or a absolute waste of money. today it was a waste again. in total we have surely spent +1000€ in this restaurant and everytime we decided to give it another try because the first time (~1,5 years ago) it had the most amazing seafood. today we reserved a table at 19:30 and had some food which we had to order multiple times as some waiters apparently forgot our order - again, it was mediocre at best. We did not even get to finish our last tapas after we got asked if we wanted to have some coffee. we planned to have some desert later after a couple of glasses of wine as always - we answered no to the coffee. To our surprise we got handed the bill IMMEDIATELY and were asked to leave (after spending 145€ again and ALWAYS a MINIMUM of 10% tip, most of the time way more) because they have the table reserved for someone else. YES they asked us two times, the first time not even 1:20h after we arrived. I wasn’t even finished with my drink and the waiter (some slimy dude with glasses) asked us to leave again. I told him we are not ready as my glass is still not empty and he told us to leave because the table would be reserved. I told him to give us 10 more minutes he told us no. i got really angry as we were regulars and actually had a reservation for later this week aswell. i told him to cancel this reservation and he just said “gladly”, because apparently we are bad customers and are not welcome again. This was at 21:25 for reference. I demand an explanation from the owner/manager as this behavior - to any customer, regular or not - should be heavily criticized. you can gladly contact me via my private mail or phone number, you should have...

Disappointed at every corner on November 30th. We were a group of six people who picked up the place as the ranking was very convincing. What was not convincing at all was the service we received. The only two things that worked that night were the reservation and the table where we were seated. We made a combined order as some ordered a starter whereas the other skipped it. Surprisingly, both starters and main dishes were served together. The waiter told us later they served all the meals at the same time so that those who didn‘t order a starter didn’t have to wait until the other finished it. It is a local standard, he said. Why don’t you ask a question, waiter, if your guests are comfortable with this arrangement? Another culture shock arrived with a steak. I got a nice piece of T-bone. But what to say when they charge 59 Euro, and they serve it cold. My claim was received, and I got my meal back a few minutes later. Well, warm, but still far away from what you can get directly from the grill. Another surprise was the waiter’s reaction to our complaints about having tuna served without any side dish. Yes, he was right, there was no side dish to tuna in the menu but is it that complicated to ask „Madam, Sir, are you sure you want to have your fish served without side dish? “ Of course, it is not. It is only about being more polite and taking more care of guests. Another surprise? Yes, there was another one. We finished a bottle of Cava. So, we ordered another one. And one more beer on top. The waiter returned from the bar and said we made the last bottle of that kind they had. He offered us another Cava but a more expensive one. Not even saying by how much, not even trying to keep us staying longer by offering a deal. Nothing like that. Therefore, we simply canceled the order for Cava, but not for beer, of course. What do you think? Did the waiter serve it? Of course not. And when we claimed it then he simply answered ohh, I forgot. What about saying sorry, waiter? Long story short, the worst experience ever in a 4.6-star bar, with almost 8,700 rankings. It seems that good times are gone, or, we simply...
