We learned that this place has been operating for a very long time, so we decided to try horchata here. Horchata is truly a unique drink, and we really liked it—it suited our taste. It's a pleasant, starchy-flavored beverage made from a type of tiger nut, so it's actually made from the milk of this nut, not regular milk. As for the pastry dipped into it, it didn’t really stand out to me. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t feel like a particularly unique experience either. Still, there’s no harm in trying it ;) The staff were friendly and helpful. The place itself was small and cramped, and I felt like I had to leave quickly after eating because people kept coming in. A tour guide who gave me a city tour told me that this was the best place for Buñuelos but somehow it didn't live up to my expectations. I thought there would be a touch of pumpkin because Google and the guide told me so but I couldn't taste any pumpkin. The Buñuelos itself was tasty. Very chewy and crunchy. You can taste freshly fried Buñuelos here due to high customer turnover rate since there's a queue to buy this. Lamentable que un sitio emblemático deje tanto que desear en el trato al cliente.Fuimo ayer 19 marzo entre las 18 y 18.45h, 3 amigas y yo.Nos sentamos en la tercera mesa a la izquierda.Nos atendió una señora de estatura baja, con pelo rubio y rizado.Hemos pedido varias cosas y entre ellas una horchata.Mi amiga antes de empezar a beberse su horchata la ha tirado accidentalmente.Nos disculpamos repetidas veces y pedimos otra.Al pedir la cuenta, primero nos dijeron que el datáfono estaba averiado, aunque es evidente que quieren que se pague en efectivo y más en éstos días de Fallas que tienen una cola de espera tremenda.Segundo, ví en la cuenta que nos habían cobrado la segunda horchata (cosa que entiendo pero q en algunos sitios no la cobran por haber sido un accidente).Le pregunté, con mucha educación, a la camarera que he descrito anteriormente, por el hecho de que nos hubieran cobrado la segunda horchata ya que había sido un accidente y me contestó de manera muy agresiva, chulesca y gesticulando "¿acaso la he tirado yo? Pq si la he tirado yo pues la pago y llevo la ropa a la tintorería pero ¡¡ si no la he tirado yo pues la pagas tú!!" .Le contesto tranquilamente que por supuesto que no la había tirado ella, que había sido mi amiga sin querer y que en algunos establecimientos por deferencia hacia el cliente reponían la bebida y no la cobraban.Me contesta que "allí no" y le digo que "no hay ningún problema, ya lo sabemos para la próxima".Es decir, para no volver más. Han perdido 4 clientes.
