Bacco Valencia - Centro — Restaurant in Valencia

This restaurant is really central so I understand it's a bit more expensive. It's literally next to the Central Market, so your in the heart of the city. The actual Decoration is different and usually nice. Your like inside a cave, so the lighting is on the dark side. Tea lights scattered around so it has a very romantic setting in a weird way. The bathroom is also quite unique. The staff friendly but busy and forgetful. The meal however very very disappointing. Mainly due to the Menu of the day which was forced upon us because they said their daily menu was not available! We made it clear we were leaving if we were not allowed to choose from their main menu, which in the end they finely agreed. The Menu of the day was 25.90€ per head, really expensive for the choices. The dishes were not fantastic. The starter was 3 different dishes to share, 1.Tomato and Mozzarella salad...they should have called it Tomato Salad because the mozzarella was non existent. 2. Pan Grilled Squid, it was ok but I would not order it again and the last starter Chicken wings with Barbecue sauce was the worst of the 3. something was wrong with this dish..it was inedible as the chicken was rancid, so we left it. The mains to choose from were 7 dishes in total but only 2 are part of your menu which is one of fish and one of meat. All the rest of the mains had a supplement !!! I was shocked.. so in some cases the Menu was 32€. I have never seen anything like this before and so over priced. Our mains were Ok...although we ordered one rice dish and receive another by mistake which was too salty. The dessert were also ok. No coffee included. Overall it was not good. The food was not worth the money at all. And we had 1 drink included per person with the menu which we did not get. Too Expensive and will not...

Went with the family for lunch. Place was fine. There was no one when we got there. The guy at the entrance was very good with his job, for this reason my family wanted to eat there as he was really friendly and accommodating. So yea, we ordered the menu of the day. First plate was a salad. I found w0rms on it. A guy came and took my plate, I told him what was my issue about it but he just looked at my plate and took it. Second plate came, it was croquettes, it was ok. BUT, I still didn’t get a new plate of my own. So we all had plates, the food was served in the middle. So yea we got paella and meat. After that they got desserts, and I didn’t get a dessert instead I ordered coffee. We went on with the lunch, and me having a really bad time as since they took my plate with worms NOT ONCE WE GOT AN APOLOGY NOR OFFERED A NEW SALAD. Not that I wanna eat more w0rms. but it is common sense to apologize for a disgust!ng plate right away. So yea after paying, this guy came to apologize for it. I mean it is too late. He wanted to offer us coffee or dessert. Remember I didn’t order a dessert instead ordered coffee, guess what I was charged 3€ for a coffee when I didn’t even eat cake that was part of the menu. And now he wants to offer us coffee NOW THAT WE ALREADY HAVE PAID? NOW THAT WE WERE ALREADY NEAR THE DOOR? Why weren’t we offered an apology while we were seated? Very disappointed about the food and quality of the restaurant in general, had high expectations because of the good reviews. To start our experience I needed to go to the toilet, this is were it began. Both of the toilets were out of toiletpaper, then we ordered wine to start our dinner with. We waited for 15 mins for one glass of wine. My boyfriend his wine glas was full of dust and not cleaned at all. Then I ordered the sirloin steak with French fries, they didn't ask me how I wanted it to be cooked, we waited a long time before our food arrived, first they came to come get our plate. When it finally arrived, my french fries were cold and my boyfriend only had the brass filet and a couple of grilled vegetables on his plate. We were very disappointed about the food...
