We decided to give this 'all you can eat' sushi restaurant a try despite the other mediocre reviews. I can confirm those reviews are warranted. We suffered so that you won't have to and we won't be going back, ever. The service was dialed in to 'ignore customer' versus being attentive. The pricing is somewhat deceptive, given how everything in Europe is priced to include IVA. Not here. Also you MUST order at a minimum one drink per person, at least 1.75€ at the least expensive water option. Why not just say lunch is going to be 12.90 + IVA + 1.75 = ~15€ per person for the limited lunch menu. Had we known that ahead of time we would have never tried this place, we would have gone elsewhere. There's great sushi nearby for 10.95 all you can eat lunch. On to the menu here. For the 12.90 without IVA tier you have limited choices, not the full menu. We are enthusiastic sushi eaters and after two hours at this restaurant, we all left hungry, totally frustrated with the lack of fish options on the menu. It's mainly salmon. The tuna option starts at 17€ without IVA. In that two hours, we were lucky to see our server 5 times. It was a bad sign to be seated with one in our party without a plate and setting on a four top for five people. Many workers about but this was not addressed. We called it to staff's attention only to be told, they are not our server. What? You work here right? Anyhow, after the food arrived, I asked again when I would be deserving the privilege to have a cup to enjoy my mandatory 1.75€ water and a plate to try some of the food already delivered to the table. I was told to patiently wait while they brought place settings for new guests at other tables, and my party are the first round while I watched patiently. I had to inquire as to when they thought my utensils, plate and cup would arrive and that's when I knew at this point I was now labeled a troubled customer. I wanted to leave at this point but my group just ate one item and didn't feel like making more of a scene or causing an issue. By the end of this deep session of being ignored, they agreed that leaving would have been the best course of action. The salmon sashimi was still slightly frozen, but decent. That's the only reason this isn't a single star review. I have no doubt that the chef knew this while cutting the fish. Anyhow, this experience was 75% being ignored, 20% waiting for food we had managed to order, and 5% of the time eating. I wish I had that time back. Never again, we can all do better. Onwards...
Read moreLet's be clear, although the food here wasn't terrible, I would not say it was good either, especially when compared to Japanese food outside Valencia. The sushi was below par, with the rice being too sweet, the pieces sometimes too big, and the maki and rolls with too much rice. The rolls were simple and uninteresting overall. Service for us was terrible and the bill too steep for that level of food and service. Our waiter clearly articulated a profanity (Spanish f word) in front of two children out of some unknown frustration with us because it was the first time we were there and were not familiar with how to order. He also never told us to take our shoes off on the tatami until very well into the dinner, making it so that we had to get up to wash our hands again after touching our shoes. We also were made to wait quite a long time between every couple of plates of sushi served. Considering this is an all you can eat, our dinner extended well over an hour, due to prolonged wait times. I would go somewhere else if you have...
