SPICY!!!! I've been searching for a place in Valencia that actually makes Spicy food and am happy to report that Chila has it! Three of us had lunch. We all ordered the menu del dia. Portions were a good size and there are options for everyone. We had the pickled vegetables and the pickled cucumber, both delicious. I (the chilihead of the bunch) ordered the minced beef with chilies and celery SPICY and it was indeed spicy!! Flavor was great and the heat was a builder. If you crave chilies, this was a winner for me. We also ordered the Yuxiang Eggplant, no spice, which may have been a mistake. The dish was beautiful, but a little bland. My friend didn't want heat, but a little garlic or ginger would have been a nice add. We added a little soy sauce and that helped, but probably not a dish I would order again. We also had the Cauliflower Stir-Fry with "a little spice". The veggies were nice and crisp and the seasoning was great. Overall, a well composed dish. Ordering is done from your phone which makes it super simple to take your time to decide and order more as you go. The online menu is descriptive and offers pictures that are true to what you get. The service was great and both the dining room and the restrooms were clean and well kept. I've added this one to my favorites list. We'll definitely...
Read moreUpdate: I visited the restaurant with some friends and had a wonderful dining experience. The staff was inviting, atmosphere was lovely with beautiful decor and clean. There were 11 of us and we each ordered something different and shared. Everything I tried was amazing, and I mean everything! My personal favorites were the beef tripe, the pork cube, and the shrimp and lotus. All the food was fresh and great quality. We ate our meals with plenty of white rice and were happily full. This may be my favorite dining experience I've ever had. I think it's safe to say that no matter what you order you'll be satisfied. Amongst our group we tried about 8 different dishes and they were all delicious!
Previous review: I can only comment on the food as I had it delivered to my home. I was very impressed by the freshness and quality of the food, yes it is a bit pricier but definitely worth it. I ordered the Grandma's tofu with white rice and fried rice. Both were very flavorful, non-greasy and satisfying. I've found it difficult to locate good-quality fried rice here in Valencia, but I'm happy to say I've finally found one. I can't wait to try more items on the menu and perhaps visit one day when I'm not...
Read moreAs a lover of Chinese food, we found this new restaurant in Valencia during our trip. It is not a typical western Chinese restaurant but an authentic and original one. The Hunan cusine that the cook is from the Hunan province which located in the central of China. The waiter told us that because of the humidity climate, people there eat a lot of spicy food. It is a perfect place for spicy food lovers but also they give options of spicy level for those who cannot eat spicy food. We tried the beef with celery and chili, pork belly with dried leafs and Chinese eggplant, all of those are amazing. Both the flavor and the presentation. Also the restaurant has a chill atmosphere and nice decor. We will be back for sure and...
