Natural wines are as now as today. This is a good example of what they can be. Good tapas plates and choices of wines without much intervention. Not everything hits a home run. The anchovy plates are both good, though the ice-cold temperature isn't ideal. Temperature plays a part in the artichoke, which is lovely and hot, melting the wonderful cheese on impact, to set off against the ok ham accent. The dessert would have been the highlight, if not for the uneven temperature from the microwave. Totally get the need for quick heating in the limited space. Personally, I'd opt for an air fryer or mini, plug-and-play convection oven, with all that wonderful effort to make this delightful manchego mousse. The bright lighting seems an odd choice for the mood of the offer. Maybe it's a cultural thing that I'm ignorant of. The service is terrific: caring and knowledgeable. I'd like a premium by the glass option, which we've enjoyed elsewhere in Valencia. But the glass i had was excellent nonetheless. This is a good place to explore the world of natural wines...
Read moreThe two lovely people who run this place are some of the best people on the planet. They carefully choose delicious natural wines from small Spanish producers. If natural - or just interesting - wines are your thing, this is the place for you. And it’s in the food that you really see the careful attention to every detail. The artichoke confit is from artichokes boiled then left to sit for many months in fine olive oil. Then when you order them, pulled from the oil to be served with grated Parmesan and finely cubed Serrano ham. It’s a really spectacular dish and worth crossing at least the city to taste. They also speak great English and the decor is modern and stylish, with good background...
Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed ViveVino and went there multiple times during my recent stay in Valencia. I didn't know about natural wines and thanks to the owners we discovered a whole world of flavours. The food was an excellent complement to the wines, I particularly enjoyed sampling an assortment of Spanish cheeses that we don't have back home. Make sure you try their spicy salad and smoked sardines, those were some of my favourites. It's evident the owners take great pride in their establishment and the ambiance is relaxed and inviting. It's the perfect spot for enjoying new flavours, friendly service and amazing food and wine, it's a must visit...
