Worst hostel ever! Whoever thought it was a “smart” idea to have unsupervised hostel guests is one of the dumbest people out there. Had I known that this was the case I would have never come here! They hide the fact that after 6pm there is NO ONE ON STAFF to deal with any issue. As you might guess unsupervised guests leads to some guests violating the rules for quiet and throwing parties. As I write this a group of guys who have already been warned once yesterday about being loud and disrespectful and disturbing others last night are throwing a loud ass party in the kitchen- playing loud music, slamming drawers, singing, one pretended to throw a chair at the door to my room - and its 2:38AM. I called management and he said he would talk to them over the loudspeaker of the security system- as if that would do anything! Its been 30 minutes since I complained about this issue with management and the partying is still going on. I called back a few minutes ago and management said they were calling the cops but how will the cops even get in? There is no one on site to let them in! Instead the manager should come down and intervene. Talking over a loudspeaker to curb rowdy ass behavior from a bunch of twenty year olds doesn’t do anything. The fact that he’s not taking responsibility for two of the most important rules at a hostel is outrageous. I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! This is the WORST HOSTEL I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in over 15 at this point. Aside from the lack of necessary security and supervision there is a smell of sewage constantly coming from the bathroom. The corners of the bed and the drawers underneath have dust and hair everywhere. The floors where the toilets are constantly wet from the showers above. Everything here is made cheaply. The air vent is covered in dust. And the “free coffee they have here is bitter and not good.
The little casitas are not anything special. Just a bed and a tablet on a wall. It’s actually quite claustrophobic. Do yourself a favor and stay...
Read moreThis hostel is absolutely amazing, when I arrived I was welcomed nicely. And they quickly explained how it worked because it had many "SMART" features. First I was quite skeptical if this would all work like supossed to. But it all worked perfectly.
My casita was clean and had everything you need and extra. The big drawer beneath your bed is extremely nice aswell as the dimable light and tablet. Ths matress is super comfy which you don't see often (leaves a bit of space on the side for your personal things) and the airco system is also quite amazing being always around 21 degrees. Last privacy is on a next level as its a mix between a hostel and a "pod hotel" with your own little space. And a really big locker outside the sleeping place.
The showers and bathroom were almost always clean, one time struggles with no warm water though... But this was solved the next day. You can even do your laundry for no cost at all.
Furthermore is the location also terrific especially for me (cause I like walking). Its relatively close to the park, la arts e les sciences, and the old town. Last but not least ths people that come here are a little older/mature in my opinion which means when at 11pm (automatically the lights go oit amazing feature aswell) people quit down or go to sleep.
Overall I haven't EVER seen such a good deal for a hostel in my life. Spending about 30 euro/night. I would definitely book this again in the future. Highly...
Read moreI usually don’t expect too much from hostels, but this one raised the bar with its brand-new look, beautiful design, and steep price—€215 for 4 nights. Their slogan promises “the best part of a hotel with the charm of a hostel,” so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to that claim.
Let’s start with the positives:
The place looks fantastic—just like the photos.
The location is great.
The mattresses are comfy.
Nice patio.
The room doors close quietly, and the lockers are outside the dorm, which helps reduce noise.
Now the downsides:
Cleanliness was seriously lacking. For this price, I expected way better hygiene. The showers were dirty, and my “casita” wasn’t clean either—I found a used earplug by the mattress, and when adjusting my sheets, I ended up with A LOT of dust and A LOT of hair sticking to them.
Common areas didn’t feel very clean either.
With around 60 guests and only 8 showers (if I am not mistaken), that’s simply not enough. Or they should clean it way more often!
The common area is right next to the dorms, so you hear every late-night conversation.
The room lights are another issue—the main light turns off at 11 p.m. and back on at 8 a.m., which is disruptive. There’s no way to have complete darkness at night, which affects sleep quality.
In short: great design, poor execution—especially in terms of cleanliness. Not worth the premium price. Kinda...
